Star needed to find her friends. She flew around the mountain looking for the cave they had slept in the night before. It was a little after mid-day, so she had only been knocked out lest than a day. That was good. It meant her friends were probably still at the cave. She hoped they were okay.

She continued around the mountain, looking for her friends, and the cave they had slept in. "Let's see," Star said out loud. "If the rain forest kingdom is that way. . . and the kingdom of sand is that way, then the cave must be. . .there!"

Finally! She would see her friend! They could go to the sky kingdom and find Dawn's mother! Everything would work out okay. Star glided down to the cave.

"Guys! Guys! I'm back! I'm back!" Star didn't hear anything. "Guys?" Star looked around the cave and gasped. Her friends were gone, and in their place was the Skywing that kidnapped her.

"Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!" Star shrieked. "Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! Ah! Ah! Ah!"

When she was finally out of breath, the Skywing spoke. "Relax Nightwing. I'm not going to hurt you. But three moons, would you stop that ridiculous shrieking?"

"Mm-hm, you know what really makes that believable?" Star asked, getting over her fear long enough to be sarcastic. "How you kidnapped me! And tied me up!" It was too much. It needed to come out. "Do you know how my friend must feel right now? Do you know how I feel right now!?!" Tears were streaming down her face at this point. "Do you have any idea what it's like for someone to separate you from the people you love? Do you even care?!?"

The Skywing was quiet for a long time. When she finally spoke, it was in a quite whisper. "Yes. That was how I felt when I left Dawn." She was silent again, letting the words sink in.

Star was quite too. Then all the pieces clicked into place. "Your Falcon. Dawn's mother."

"I didn't want to leave my little Dawnfir. But I had no choice." Falcon seemed deep in thought, probably lost in memories.

Star racked her brain. She knows she wasn't going to get all the answers by asking. What would stand in the way of having a hybrid? Queen Ruby had nothing against them. What the queen! Who was queen when Dawn was born?

"Why?" She finally asked. "Was it because of queen Scarlet?" Falcon smiled at her, seeming proud. "Yes. You are a bright one. No wonder I picked you for the test."

Star was getting inpatient. She had more questions than answers. "Look, I'm sorry about everything you've been through, but I don't know where my friends are, and I need to find them. So, can you please tell me something that will actually help me do that?!?" She almost yelled at the Skywing.

Falcon sighed. "Yes, yes, fine. I needed to tell one of my daughter's friends about me, before I let her know. I thought it would be easier to hear it from someone she knew. But I had to be sure they were trustworthy, so I would give them a test. You seemed like the best option, so that was what the whole 'kidnapping' thing was. You passed, by the way." She paused, giving Star time to take the information in.

"Aright, that's great and all, but I don't really think that little test of yours worked. Would you just tell me where they are already?" Star demanded of her, again.

Falcon didn't acknowledge Star had said anything at all, she just kept talking. "After you escaped, I followed you around those tunnels. It got quit boring honestly."

Star glared and Falcon just shrugged but kept talking. "After you finally got smart and found a way out, I decided you had enough and was going to tell you the truth about me, but you got away. I knew you would find your way back here eventually, so I came here and waited. I know these caves better than you."

Star had had enough. "WHERE ARE MY FRIENDS?!?" she screamed at the Skywing. Falcon just rolled her eyes. "Maybe I should have just gone with the other Nightwing." She muttered under her breath. "He seemed quiet enough."

Star started making a clicking sound in the back of her throat, the one dragon's make when they are heating up their fire. "OK, OK, three moons, I'm not finished yet," Falcon said disapprovingly. "When I got to this cave, a few minutes before you, I saw this note." Falcon pointed to carefully arranged rocks and sticks on the cave floor.

Star walked over, squinting to read the message. First there were five sticks arranged into a star shape. then a message that read 'go to palace'. Lastly there was a sideways stick and after it a rock that had sicks coming out of it. It looked like a spike ball. . .or a sun. Star looked over the whole massage again. The star must be talking about her. And the sun must be talking about Dawn!

"We need to go to the Skywing palace." Star told Falcon. "It's where Dawn and my friends are. Do you now the way?"

Falcon smirked at her. "I work there. Let's go."

Star smiled. Her burns and her worries didn't matter anymore. She was going to her friends.

A/N: Yeah sorry, that chapter was written badly, but it had some big reveals. Midnight's is next!
