Volleyball club hasn't been the same since Jeongyeon went off the grid a week ago.
Every time they play each other in teams, Nayeon's team always wins by a long-shot, and there isn't any competition around anymore.
Sure, Mina is competition, but she's more of a quiet hitter, not someone who would dominate the court and set the scores straight.
Hyunjin is good too, but Nayeon isn't friends much with the younger years with the exceptions of Tzuyu, Chaeyoung and Yerim.
The hallways aren't the same either, and no one really parts the sea of students when Nayeon passes through, because Nayeon has no anger raging from within her now that Jeongyeon's disappeared.
It's also nearing Nayeon's birthday, and she can only remember what Jeongyeon wrote her in a note before she left.
Nayeon,
I'll be back for your birthday.
I'll get you something, I promise. Some volleyball skills perhaps? Haha, joke.
But seriously, please don't worry about where I've gone. I'll be back before you know it.

Nayeon crumples up the note and throws it onto her messy desk, grumbling. "My birthday is tomorrow and there's no sign of her."
She stands up and heads over to the window, where she notices a blue tesla outside her house. Oddly enough, it looks like Jeongyeon's tesla.
She creeps out of the house and realises that there's a note on the windshield of the car.
I won't make it back in time.
Here's my present.
Turn off the GPS before using it though.

Nayeon doesn't know whether to feel angry or sad, so she grabs the keys and starts up the engine, driving her way to Momo and Sana's house.
"I cannot believe this!" Nayeon complains, raising her hands in the air and making several un-copyable hand movements. "She said she'd be here for my birthday, but guess what—she won't!"
"Unnie, I know you like the girl but cut her some slack. You don't know what's going on in her personal life." Sana states, and Momo nods her head in agreement.
Nayeon puts her hands on her waist and turns to the two. "Oh, so do you know then?"
Sana purses her lips and decides not to answer.
"Oh my gosh." Nayeon stomps up to Sana. "So you do know?!"
Sana shrugs and coughs, trying to look for a way out of this conversation. It's no use, however, as Nayeon has locked her in from all possible escape routes.
"I bet Mina knows too, doesn't she?"
The youngest decides not to answer again, and Nayeon flops onto the sofa. "Is there something going on between the three of you? Like another extra group of secrets or something?"
Momo looks at her housemate with her eyebrows raised, because she's curious too about what's going on.
"Mitang said I can't give you the details. So I'll keep to my promise and keep it for Jeongyeon unnie's sake."
The black haired girl can't do anything else but hope that Sana tells her everything later.
A phone starts to vibrate, and as the three try to figure out whose phone it is, the power starts to go out too.
