My eyes widen, fuck that was close.

I look behind me at the Female Titan. She hasn't stopped charging at us, with her eyes locked on Eren.

Could she be any more obvious? 

I shake off my brief spike of anxiety, and turn to focus back on the trail. I press myself against my horse, trying to go as fast as I can and keep out of this bitch titan's reach.

Suddenly I hear Petra shout, "Eren! Stop! What are you doing!?"

I look next to me to see Eren ready to bite his hand and transform. Shit. This is not good... Dammit Eren, how are you making this situation worse?

Eren shouts, "What else can I do!? She's killing our soldiers! Our comrades! I can fight her or we'll all die!"

Eld argues with him, "If you transform now you'll only give her what she wants! You have to trust us!"

Eren furrows his brow, but doesn't take his hand away from his mouth.

"Eren, remember that time about a week ago? Don't lose the trust we just gained..." I say to him as calm as I can.

Please I am begging you Eren, calm the fuck down... I really don't want to be stuck in the middle of a titan fight.

The Captain speaks up without even looking at us, "I know a lot of things on this expedition have been kept secret from you all, but you have to trust us. But in the end I can't stop you in your choice Eren, do whatever feels right to you."

Eren hesitates, and we all stare at him. The pounding of the Female Titan's steps continue behind us, and I glance back to see more soldiers being slaughtered through the trees.

I curse under my breath, there's a person in that titan body... no, not a person. A monster. Someone who could slaughter their own comrades.

I'm going to kill this bitch if it's the last thing I do. I can't keep watching these soldiers just die in front of me...

I hear Eren take a breath before shouting, "Alright! I trust you!"

The squad all gives him determined nods of reassurance.

"Good choice Jaeger," Captain says, "Alright, everyone cover your ears! We're here."

I hesitantly cover my ears, and see him fire an acoustic flare. I look into the trees and notice soldiers standing around in branches, all prepared for something.

A few seconds later we dash into a clearing as the titan follows us, and as soon as we pass dozens of canons go off.

I look over my shoulder to see a glimpse of the titan being struck with hundreds of spears, holding it in place.

I knew you had some crazy ass plan up your sleeve Erwin...

"Everyone! I have to leave you all momentarily to go meet with Erwin. Continue on this path, full speed ahead. Keep your ODM gear ready and blades drawn, stay on guard." The Captain commands.

We all nod, feeling more sure of ourselves now that this monster is caught.

I let out a small sigh of relief, Armin I know you're still alive, and I know you've already figured everything out too. We're gonna get out of this mess, I'll make sure of it.

The Captain crouches on his horses back with his blades drawn and ODM gear ready, before turning back to us.

"Arlert! You're coming with me. Eld, you're in charge. Now let's go." And with that he takes off into the trees, not looking back.
