As they clean up the wreckage, the Scouts stare up in fear at the titan in the wall.

"How..." is all I can manage to say.

Suddenly Hange is at my side, staring with a look of both fear and curiosity.

Moblit runs to meet with Hange, "Section Commander, your orders?"

Hange stutters, "I- Uh... Well, I'm not sure..."

My blood runs cold, "Hange... is this just a coincidence, or does it mean..."

We turn to each other with wide eyes, and they're about to speak up when she's cut off by someone grabbing our shoulders.

Suddenly I hear the Captain by my side, "Hey, watch it."

He pulls the man's hand off of my shoulder and throws it down. I hardly register it as questions race through my head about the walls.

He glares at the man while I look at him in surprise. He's wearing a pastor's uniform.

"Pastor Nick..." Hange says.

He has a wild look in his eyes, and he's panting like he just ran around Wall Rose.

"Listen to me," he says making fierce eye contact, "Whatever else you do, don't let sunlight touch it!"

I look down at the pastor, who's currently on his knees cowering as he looks over the top of the wall.

Hange and I split up with Levi and Erwin to go question the pastor, while the rest of the Scouts covered the hole in the wall with tarps.

"All right." Hange says, "You wanna tell us what's going on?"

"Why a titan? What's the purpose? I mean, what on Earth's the point of having one hidden inside the wall?" they say.

I narrow my eyes in speculation, "And why choose to keep it a secret, pastor?"

"Look, we need answers, and we're gonna need them right now." Hange says, her frustration growing.

Pastor Nick simply sighs and gets up, dusting himself off.

"I don't have time for this nonsense." he says, "I'm a busy man, my flock has been devastated! I demand restitution! Do you know who I am?"

I glare at him, "No, and quite honestly I don't really care either."

He huffs at me, "Let me down from here this instant!"

I glance at Hange and say, "Well, if that's what you want."

Without hesitation I grab his collar and push him to the edge of the wall, the only thing keeping him from falling is my arm.

"Will straight down do the trick?" I say.

He gasps in fear as his eyes dart around trying to look down. I can see how much he's sweating now.

The Scouts around us close in with fear of the pastor falling.

"Y/N, Commander!" Moblit yells.

"Hold!" Hange says.

Pastor Nick holds onto my arm for dear life, literally.

"Let me ask you something." I speak lowly, trying to compose my frustration, "Do you have any concept of how many Scouts have laid down their lives fighting these monsters?"
