Chapter 15

Lucia, Chiara, and Arken looked at the house ahead of them. It was a small house, with a small door and small windows. There was debris everywhere and it looked as if the bomb hit everywhere except that house.
"Is this his house?" asked Chiara. Lucia nodded and walked ahead. The welcome mat was extremely clean, and the doorbell still worked. She rang the doorbell and stood back, waiting for a response. Suddenly, the door swung open and out stepped a tall boy wearing a shirt with the union jack on it.
"Lucia!" He yelled in delight and ran to hug her. Lucia was obviously uncomfortable, but she didn't say anything.
"Hey, Dexter. How are you?" she asked him.
"Good, good. Come on in! Who are your friends?"
"Well, you've met Chiara, and this is Arken." He smiled.
"Well, hello Arken. Hello, Chiara." Chiara gave him a look and stepped inside, and Arken just dragged himself inside. Dexter closed the door.
"What brings you here, gorgeous?"
Lucia cringed.
"Um, we need a piece for this... thing I'm working on."
"Of course! What do you need? The pieces are all in those drawers over there!" He pointed to a tall cabinet, and Lucia smiled and walked over to there. She opened a couple drawers, and couldn't find anything. Just as she was about to give up, she found the small piece lying on the floor. She picked it up and turned around.
"Thanks! I found it. We'll just be headed off now." Lucia, Chiara, and Arken headed for the door, but the click of a gun stopped them.
"Not so fast." They slowly turned around to see Dexter pointing a small gun at them. "I know you have a Teleporta. And I need it." Lucia was about to say something, but Arken grabbed a shovel by the door and knocked Dexter out.
"We don't have time for this. Activate it."
Lucia nodded and pressed the blue bottom on top of the cylinder. A humming sound was emitted, and a large portal manifested in front of the group. Arken smiled and turned to Lucia.
"Ready?"
"Ready."
