Code Red

Chapter 2

Julian stared in awe.

"How did this loser beat me?" he yelled.

"Um, cause you suck." said Chiara.

"Shut up, I'm better than you." he replied.

"You can't even aim!"

"Look who's talking!"

"You are!" she yelled back, and aimed her sparkly gun at him.

"Woah, calm down Chiara." said Daniel. In between, all the fighting, Grecia saw the high ranks coming back out of the corner of her eye. And there he was. Tony. Grecia loves Tony. She was obsessed. She poked Lucia.

"My baby is here, Lucia." Lucia turned to look.

"You wish." She laughed and went to get water. Daniel looked at Grecia.

"Close your mouth, you're drooling." said Daniel. Grecia snapped out of it.

"Haha sorry."

When Lucia was done drinking water, she saw Julian trying to beat her score. She walked over there.

"What are you doing?" she asked him.

"Go away."

"Aw, is the little baby sad? It's ok you'll win at something." she said to him.

"Everyone over here! Now!" yelled Commander Dre. Suddenly, the lights started flashing and blaring, and on the screens everywhere, two words appeared: Code Red. Lucia's heart stopped. That meant they were coming.

"Prepare your weapons! This is not a drill! I repeat, this is not a drill!" he yelled again. Everyone ran to put on their gear and grab their weapons.

"Chiara, hurry!" yelled Lucia. Chiara was struggling with her helmet.

"I don't wanna ruin my hair!" she yelled back. Lucia rolled her eyes and ran outside. She saw the aliens coming. Not many people knew why people were rebelling. Some people found out about the aliens living among us, and they were angry. Eventually, the aliens took over the government and America fell. That's what they were training for. To take back their planet.

Shots were being fired, and their were explosions everywhere. Everyone was fighting. Even the high ranks. It was that bad.

The aliens were disgusting creatures. They were different sizes, but they mostly resembled insects. At least the large ones did. The alien soldiers looked simply human except for two fangs above their teeth. Kind of like vampires.

Julian looked at Lucia. She was taking out the alien soldiers one after the other. He got angry. She was not gonna beat him in this too. He began shooting everywhere and killing aliens, trying to beat Lucia. Lucia looked at him.

"What are you doing?" she yelled over all the noise. He didn't even look at her.

"Julian, you're going to get hurt!" she yelled. He continued to ignore her, shooting recklessly. Then, out of nowhere, an enormous creature with multiple arms emerged. It looked like a giant mechanical spider. Julian looked up. The beast swung at Julian, knocking him several feet away.

"Julian!" yelled Lucia. She ran to see if he was ok, but more alien soldiers were attacking her. The beast grabbed Julian and wrapped him up in a web like trap, and put him on it's back. She looked in horror as the creature walked towards Grecia. She tried to warn her, but the creature took her too. A high pitched noise from one of the alien spaceships activated, and all the aliens retreated.

"No!" Lucia ran after the spider, but it was too fast.

It was gone.

And so were Julian and Grecia.
