She saw all white. Grecia woke up and saw all white. She had a painful headache and the last thing she remembered was escaping her capsule. She forced herself to work through the pain and sit up. She was in a white room, laying on a hospital bed. Two tubes were in her arms, it looked like one was extracting blood and the other was pumping something into her vein. She pulled them both out and was about to stand up when she saw Julian and her captain in similar hospital beds next to her, except they were unconscious. Suddenly, two sliding doors opened, and Ray walked in.
"Hello, Grecia. Did you have a nice sleep?"
"What's going on?" She tried standing up but she got dizzy and sat back down.
"Lie down, you must be tired. After all, that vivid dream should have kept you asleep."
"Dream? What dream?"
"The capsules, the nail, escaping. All of that was created by using this little drug I like to call Adeniretsomething. I forget, it's a long name. We'll just call it the 'A' drug. Good news is, you woke up, which means you survived the dream."
"What?"
"This drug has a virus that if your brain shows too much activity, it shuts your body down. In other words, you die in the dream, you die for real.
"Why were you taking my blood?" Grecia was starting to see stars.
"Oh, just a little experiment. It's fine I have what I need. Guards!" Ray snapped his fingers and two strong men walked through the door. "Dispose of her." And he walked out of the room. The two men walked over to Grecia, but thinking quickly, she grabbed the needle with the A drug and stabbed the first guard. She pulled it out again and stabbed the other one, making sure enough of the drug was in them so it would work. Surely enough, both men fell to the ground. Feeling much better, Grecia walked over to Julians table and unplugged him. She was going to unplug the captain too, when Julian grabbed her arm.
"G-g-go."
"What?"
"Go! Get help! I'll help the captain. Just leave. Now."
"No. I'm not leaving you here."
"Go Grecia! Now!" He let go of her and she glanced one more time at the captain before she ran out of the room. She walked into a huge room with thousands of buttons and knobs and lights. There were also hundreds of screens. She looked at them and recognized a face in one of them. Lucia. And Chiara. They were yelling at each other. Just as she was about to turn up the volume, she heard something behind her. She turned around quickly, prepared to fight, but instead she saw two bodies strewn over the floor.
"Grecia?"
"Daniel? Tony?" Grecia rushed over to them. "Are you okay?"
"Yeah, we're fine. Let's get out. Now." She helped them up and as she let go of their arms, she noticed they had holes identical to the ones she had in her arm from the A drug and removing her blood.
"Guys, they drugged you. And took some of your blood." Tony looked at his arm.
"No... We... we were just at a zombie camp and..." Daniel gave him a look.
"No, we were in an airplane."
"It's the drug. It creates a dream, and if you die in it, you actually die." Their conversation was interrupted when a tall teenager walked into the room. Wearing nothing.
"Woah! Dude! Put on some pants!" Daniel and Tony looked away, but Daniel caught Grecia peeking.
"Sorry... I... Don't have any."
"Yeah, we noticed!" Daniel yelled. Grecia had an idea. She ran back to the room with the guards and took one of their outfits. Then she noticed Julian and the captain were gone. Hopefully, they escaped. She ran back into the other room and threw the kid the clothes.
"Put it on." Grecia then turned around to give him privacy, but she heard Tony mutter something about wishing a girl had walked in instead.
"Ok... you can... You can look now." They all turned back around.
"So now that you're clothed, wanna tell us who you are?"
"I think my name is Josh. Or Louis. I'm not sure."
"Ok, Josh and where did you come from?" asked Tony. Josh looked up at him.
"You."
