Lauren's POV

"What do you mean 'what was I thinking sending you some dessert'? I wanted to apologize," Zayn says.

"So now you want to apologize for not caring about your kid," I hiss.

"Who's that?" Zayn cranks his head over to Camila on the other side of the room.

"None of your business," I stand up. I look back over to Camila to make sure the girl is not watching us then look back at Zayn. "Don't start pretending you give a fuck about me or Junior," I stab my finger into his chest and leave the boy alone.

"Everything okay?" Camila stands up once she sees me.

"Yeah. Can we just go?" I said, looking back at Zayn who's watching me and Camila.

Camila follows my gaze and nods understandably. "Let's go," She says. Once we are inside Camila's car and she's driving down the road is when she finally speaks up again. "Who was that?" Camila asks.

"My ex," I roll my eyes.

"Oh," Camila raises her eyebrows, "Why did you two break up?"

"That's a long and secretive story. I can't tell you. Not now. It hurts too much to talk about it," I lean my head against the window.

"Fair enough," Camila says.

The rest of the car ride was silent as Camila pulls up at my apartment building.

The brunette gets out and walks over to the passenger side, opening the door for me, and helps me out.

"Thank you," I smile.

"Of course," Camila nods.

I look down at our hands that are still clasped together then back up to look into Camila's brown eyes.

Those brown eyes filled with so many secrets. Secrets that Camila won't tell.

I place my free hand on Camila's waist and kiss her lips. The brunette stiffens but then wraps her arms around my neck, our hands still locked together.

Camila turns her hand in mine so she can thread her fingers through mine. "Lauren," Camila whispers.

"Mhmm," I hum.

"I'm so sorry," Camila pulls her lips away from mine, shaking her head. The brunette fully pulls away from me and goes back into her car.

I back away from her car as it drives away and disappears. Why can't you just open up, Camila?

Camila's POV

After dropping Lauren off, I got a text from Harry saying that Louis will be visiting today and that they want to see me. I pull up into my uncle's house as I feel my chest tighten but I shake it off.

I get out of my car and walk up to the back door leading into the gardens knowing that Harry and Louis are there.

"Camila it's been a long time since you've been here."

I stop walking as my blood runs cold. I turn around to come face to face with my uncle or Harry's dad. "I only came here to see Harry," I said.

"And you're not going to greet your uncle?" Harry's dad walks closer to me.

"Hello, uncle," I step back and walk away.

"Camila!" Harry smiles once he sees me.

"Hi!" I hug him tightly.

"It's been years since you've been here," Harry squeezes my shoulders.

"I've been busy," I breathe out.

Harry starts walking as he speaks, "Too busy to see your family?"

"We talked on the phone," I said.

"It's not the same, Camila," Harry chuckles.

"You're right," I nod.

Up ahead I see Louis playing with his boy, as his eyes light up when he sees me. "Camila, it's so nice to see you," Louis picks up his boy in his arms and walks over to me.

"It's nice to see you too, Louis," I said. A bright smile forms on my lips as I take the baby boy in my arms. "Hi, Jayden," I speak in a baby voice.

Jayden holds a toy car out to me which I take as I set him down.

"You wanna play cars with your Tia Camila?" I kneel to his height.

Jayden nods as he points to other cars lined up on the dirt trail like if they are on a race track ready to start the race.

"Come on, let's go!" I pick him up, making car sounds as he laughs merrily.
