Lauren's POV
"Lauren you gotta calm down," Camila says.
"I can't... I can't. They haven't told us anything," I said.
"Hey..." Camila stands up. She grabs my hand and pulls me against her. "You getting anxious doesn't help," Camila says.
"That's what everybody keeps telling me," I said.
"Well, listen. Come, sit down," Camila says.
She sits me down beside her but not even a second after the doctor who's attending Camilo comes out.
"How... How is my baby?" I stand up abruptly.
"Please don't worry, we were able to stabilize him, get him breathing again," The doctor says.
"And do you know why he wasn't breathing?" Camila asks.
"We will be running studies to see if he has any problems in the lungs," The doctor says.
"How long will you be keeping him here?" I ask.
"Most likely just for the night or an entire day," The doctor says. He excuses himself and leaves us alone.
I turn in Camila's arm causing my face to hide in her neck as she rubs my back soothingly.
"Lauren!"
I lift my face and see my mom run into the lobby making my features harden.
"How... How is my grandson?" She asks worriedly.
"How could you ask that? I gave you one job and that was to watch over him while I slept," I said.
"It's just... I just wanted one cup of wine and then I drank a little more and fell asleep," My mother says.
"Always with the alcohol, mother. Don't you understand that you need to quit that? If you need help I can get you some," I said.
"I agree with Lauren, Ms. Jauregui," Camila says.
"Clara. Call me Clara, Camila," My mother says. My mother runs a hand through her hair and wipes her tears. "So how is my nephew?" My mother asks.
"Thank the Lord that he is okay. They will be checking to see if he has any problems in the lungs," Camila says.
"I'm very sorry," My mother says.
Camila squeezes my shoulder and smiles at my mother. "There's no need to apologize," She says.
"Thankfully... You were there," I turn to face her.
"I couldn't stay another single second away from you. After court was finished and I talked with my family for a while, I came straight back home as soon as I could," Camila says.
I rest my forehead against hers as Camila cups my cheek and plants a soft kiss on my lips.
"I love you. I love you so much," I whispered.
"I love you too," Camila whispers. She kisses my lips tenderly, pressing herself completely against me.
"I should get juñior from the kid's section. Tell him that his brother is okay," I said.
After getting Zayn Jr., I walk back over as he smiles with happiness.
"Bwother is okie, Camila," Zayn Jr. looks up at the brunette.
"I know," Camila kneels to look him in the eyes. She stands back up and places a hand on my waist. "I've been pretty stupid this past year but I won't be anymore," Camila says.
"Where are you going with this?" I ask.
"Marry me, Lauren, marry me," Camila says.
