The next day I woke up to my alarm blaring at 7 am, the usual time I got up at. I got out my clothes for the day and walked into the bathroom, showering before changing into my day clothes.
I put my hair up in a ponytail and brushed my teeth before I put on my makeup. I walked downstairs and looked in the fridge, thinking of what to make for breakfast. My eyes landed on some strawberries and kiwi when an idea struck me. I took the strawberries out and set them next to the bananas on the counter, going to the freezer and grabbing a few different bags of frozen fruit. Smoothie bowls for breakfast sound good. I made some mixed berry ones for Lulu, Peter, Tyler and Helga, some strawberry banana vanilla ones for Mum and Zoe, then Strawberry Kiwi for Seth and me.
Unfortunately, I used all the frozen and fresh fruit so I'll have to go get more from the store. I put most of the bowls in the fridge and took the two strawberry banana vanilla ones with me, going to wake up mum and Zoe. I walked into Mum's room, setting one of the bowls down on her nightstand.
"Mum, wake up," I called, gently shaking her. She groaned and squinted at me.
"Kat? What time is it?" She asked making me glance at her alarm clock.
"Quarter past 9," I said as she sat up. "I made you a smoothie bowl and I made a pot of coffee too," I said, handing her the bowl. She smiled at me.
"Thank you, sweetheart. I'll be out in a bit, would you mind waking up your siblings?" She asked making me nod.
"Of course!" I said to her. "You just take it easy today. I have a feeling the next few days are going to be stressful on all of us." She laughed at that.
"No kidding!" She chuckled. I smiled at her before standing up, picking up the other bowl I had set down.
"Well, I better go wake up Zoe before her bowl melts," I said, giving mum one last smile before exiting her room. Climbing the stairs I walked straight to Zoe's room, opening the door quietly to see Zoe just waking up.
"Morning Zo," I said making her yawn and nod.
"Morning." She said, stretching her arms up.
"I made smoothie bowls~!" I sang, handing her the light pink bowl making her grin.
"Yes!" She cheered. "I love your smoothie bowls!" She said making me chuckle.
"Well, come downstairs once your done, I'm going to go wake up everyone else," I said, Zoe waved bye to me, a happy smile on her face as she took a bite of her fruity breakfast.
I quickly went downstairs and brought up a bowl of mixed berry smoothie with a mug of black coffee. Walking back up to Helga's room I knocked on the door lightly, hearing a quiet come in. I opened the door, careful not to spill the coffee.
"Good morning!" I greeted. "I brought you a smoothie bowl and some coffee. I figured you work so hard to help out my mum that you deserve some breakfast in bed." I said to her, setting the coffee on her bedside table and giving her the bowl.
