I carefully showed Shane how to change Tyler's diaper, him being thoroughly disgusted through the whole process. By the time we were done, I was bent over laughing, holding onto the wall to keep myself from just falling over.
"That," I panted as I calmed down. "Was the funniest shit I've ever seen!" I laughed.
"Haha." He mocked. "Hilarious." He said sarcastically. I chuckled and put Tyler to bed, walking around the house with Shane, closing all the blinds.
Shane patrols the hall, making sure all the doors and windows are locked. when I see Lulu in her PJs tugging on his shirt, making me smile.
"Hi. Zoe thinks you look like the Hulk. I think you're cute." She tells him making me laugh.
"Thank you," Shane said, unsure how to respond. Lulu just stares at him, the navy seal getting obviously uncomfortable.
"Do you know Kung Fu?" She randomly asked
"Affirmative." He said still trying to shut all the blinds.
"Did you ever punch someone so hard that their head came off?" Lulu asked making me raise my eyebrows. Shane looked at her in disbelief and started walking away, Lulu continuing to follow him. Lulu looked at Shane's hand, his fingers fiddling with something. "What's that medal for?"
"None of your business." He said.
"I'll trade you a SpongeBob button for it." Lulu offered to make me chuckle, following the two as Shane walks room to room pulling all the blinds down.
"Is that so people can't hurt us?" Lulu asked making him stop and turn around, bending down to her level as I leaned on the doorway.
"I think it's time for you take a nappy-poo, in beddy-bye land, little girl." He said, trying to sound sweet as Lulu looked at him like he was an idiot. I smiled in amusement.
"Do I look like I'm five to you?" She asked him, her tone offended. She sulked off to bed and shut off her light, Shane sighed and stood up.
"Nappy-poo? Beddy-bye?" I asked, laughing. "Why not give her one of Tyler's bottles too."
He gave me an exasperated look and walked out of the room. He didn't say anything to me and walked right past me making me furrow my brows.
"Oh, come on Shane," I complained. "Don't be a sourpuss. I was just teasing."
He rolled his eyes and walked downstairs.
"Don't you roll your eyes at me, Mr," I said, walking after him. I stood in front of him and put my hands on my hips. "Why won't you talk to me?" I asked and he stopped, looking into my eyes as if searching for something.
"What are you doing to me?" He mumbled making my face flush pink. He coughed and cleared his throat. "Lights out, get to your room." He said, walking away and leaving me standing in the living room, speechless.
"What the fuck?"
------------
Later that night, I texted Seth telling him to come to my room, getting out a smell proof backpack from my closet.
"Kat?" I heard Seth call quietly from outside my door. I open the door and ushered him in, shutting the door quietly behind him.
"Okay, so, we gotta keep coughing to a minimum or else Shane's gonna Come up here." I said as he nodded. I pulled a few labelled bags of green buds from the smell proof bag, some metal grinders as well.
"I got something off one of my friend Colby too." Seth said making me raise a brow, taking out two of the bongs from my closet along with a few joints.
"Really? What'd he give you?" I asked, giving him a small green bong with leaves painted falling down it, a small faded light blue one with ocean waves painted on the bottom filled for me and put on the desk.
