TW: LANGUAGE, MENTIONS OF ATTEMPTED R@PE!

i hated working at the diner with a passion, especially during the holiday season, i had just arrived to a diner packed to the brim with people after dropping off harry to lenora's for the night and my boss was in shambles. the waitresses seemed to be rushing around like no tomorrow and the cooks in the back were looking tired as could be. i hated it. but, i made money here, so, i ran to put on my apron and hop behind the bar to start helping.

arvin russell pulled to the diner an hour after my shift started, i was working an earlier shift and a shorter shift so i knew he'd stop by at some point. he came looking like a million dollars though, he had a nice button up shirt tucked into a pair of dress pants and his usual boots were replaced by a new pair of dress shoes that were so not arvins style. he looked amazing and smiled at me before taking a seat at a booth in the back, away from everyone else. i tried not to be distracted by him and continue on with my work so that way i wouldn't get in trouble, but i could feel his eyes staring into the back of me.

so, when we calmed down i bit i headed to go and talk to him, we had enough waitresses to cover the rest of the tables and orders so i knew they wouldn't mind.

"hey lady!"

but of course, my course of action was interrupted by a man behind me, i could see arvins jaw clench when the man yelled at me but i ignored it, knowing he wasn't going to do anything.

"yes sir, what can i do for you?"

the man was tall, grey hair showing on his beard and on the tips of his brown hair, he looked angry and mean but i ignored it, there were plenty of people in this bar who would stop him if he did anything to me, so i let him continue.

"yeah how much money could i pay you for a night with me huh?"

he was drunk. and it was common for drunk men who had no wife or kids or who was divorced, to go around picking up ladies for money, but this was a diner, not a place like that. i heard arvin standing up behind me, and i wanted to just let him have at the guy, knowing what he was capable of, but everyone was watching now.

"i'm sorry sir, i don't do that.."

he walked closer to me, grabbed my arm harshly before speaking again.

"well of course you do, you have no other purpose now."

i could feel tears start to well up in my eyes, but i pushed them away as my manager came up to us, trying to politely tell the guy to let me go, but he wasn't having it.

"now i'm going to take this slut and she's going to show me a good time whether she likes it or not."

my manager couldn't do much, all she could do was call the police and i knew that. the man grabbed my arm tighter and pulled me all the way out the doors and to a car parked right by arvins. i knew arvin was following us by the sound of the door slamming again and footsteps approaching us.

"hey! get your hands off my fucking girlfriend!"

arvin ran up to the man and tried to pull him off of me, but more men came out and grabbed arvin, pulling him away, claiming that what the man was about to do to me was "gods work". i tried to fight him, his hands slowly moving up my torso, i had never done anything past a kiss with someone who wasn't arvin, i was terrified.

"i said let her go you son of a bitch!"

the mans grip on my arm tightened, he didn't do anything but i knew what was in his mind as his free hand moved up my side, pulling my skirt up slightly.
