It happened the same every morning. Enjolras would be sat at the kitchen table, already working on his laptop as Grantaire was just leaving for work. E was wearing one of R's hoodies, which was slightly too big for him, and his pyjama bottoms, with a blanket laid across his knees. He didn't change till about lunch time, when his meetings started. There was a mug of steaming coffee on the table beside his computer and he took occasional cautious sips. Grantaire came out of the bedroom all wrapped up in his big winter jacket and his green beanie. He was wrapping his scarf around his neck, E didn't even look up, just raised his cheek towards his boyfriend as he leant down to kiss it.
"See you later, Apollo." R said, grabbing his travel coffee mug from the table.
"I'll miss you."
And with that the door closed behind Grantaire as he headed off to work.
