The Den of Thieves

Was once from the den of thieves
Partying till the eve
Glorifying mischief
Don't know how to grieve
Don't know how to believe
Don't know how to leave the evil things
The needle pins the feeling
Of drinking, flying, receiving, deceiving

Craving but dying
Drying spiritually,
drying spiritually
Yes, that was me

Was once from the den of thieves
Birthplace of false beliefs
Birthplace of hypocrites
Can't stop the reign of greed
Can't stop the rain, indeed, of the blood they bleed
Where the feast is the fighting of the fists
Where lips receive the evil's kiss
Killing is natural yet gives supernatural bliss
And all of the criminals unleashed

Drying trees, falling leaves
Black perceives, dark intrigues
Sprained limbs, reigned thieves
But at least I saw the light's glimpse
I saw the light's glimpse

Here in the den of thieves
Where there was never an existence of creed
You will feel creep by the chirps at the crypt
Here in the den of thieves
White sheep fall in deep, got tripped, turns to black sheep
Greeds aren't needed but there's a need to feed these greeds

Here in the den of thieves
Whipped on violent kicks, fraudulent tricks, virulent twists
Tricks on sleeves, souls are fees, ironic air breeze, please of bliss
Here in the den of thieves
Devil's devotees are like bees to the queen bee, pleasures a honey
Lead's a medication leaf when attacks give anxiety, a flock to agony

I was on an adventure before I surrendered
I was an achiever, evolved into a vulture
I thought life was easier but in life, I'm amateur
For I crossed the border,
I was lost in a culture that lost my bright future
Found self as a murderer, adulterer, abductor, abuser, alligator

Graven images, I was a believer
Ravens killed him, he was unharbored
Kevin knelt for the right answers
And a heaven's will-armor

A heathen, evil, but the was before
Him who made me breathe,
Walk by my feet, my heart's beats, the light and the breeze
Pulled me out from being fooled by the false beliefs
Held me out from the tightening hold of the den of thieves

Was once from the den of thieves
But he pulled me from the heat
Pulled me out from the conceit
Redirect me out from the curve street
Collect me out from the swerve teeth
Was once from the den of thieves
