"Is she the girl?" tanong nung lalaki na nasa projector. Doon ko lang napansin na may video conference palang nangyayari at nakaprojector yung mukha nung lalaki. Kung hindi ako nagkakamali siya yung Mr. Kwon Jiyong, ang CEO ng Daragon Entertainment.

Nakatingin silang sakin. "Me?" turo ko sa sarili ko. "Ano pong meron sakin?" tanong ko ulit sakanila.

"Sam, maupo ka muna." Dino called her and gestured the seat next to Brye who's scowling at her.

"Sam, alam mo naman na tapos na ang work mo 'di ba?" tanong sakin ni Dino.

I nodded. I am sad but what can I do? Hindi naman ako pwedeng manghingi ng extension. "Yup, alam ko. Kaya nga po ako nandito, 'di ba?" sabi ko.

"Bakit po? I-eextend niyo ba ang work ko?" I sounded so hopeful and excited with the thought but who cares what they think.

"Now I know why'd you picked her Dino, she's funny!" sabi nung CEO na nakangiti na ngayon sa screen.

Bigla tuloy akong naguluhan. "Anong pick? Para saan Dino?" si Dino na ang binalingan ko.

"You see Ms. Benitez, Dino's assistant resigned for personal reasons. With Brye's schedules, Dino can't handle most of it so we need an urgent replacement especially at this time where there's a lot of going on and Dino here suggested you."

Habang ineexplain sakin ang nangyayari at lumalaki ang mata ko. "Ako po?" turo ko sa sarili ko. "So, meaning magiging assistant po ako ni Dino?" paninigurado ko.

"You were supposed to but I had a meeting with Dino and decided that instead, you'll be hired as Brye's personal assistant." he explained.

"What?" Brye asked, annoyed.

"It's just temporary. Just for our whole stay here in the Philippines." sagot ni Dino. He was smiling but not meeting Brye's intense stares. "I can't watch over you all the time, Brye. Especially when my assistant resigned. I need some help. Sam is the help I need. From now on, she will attend to whatever you need. I will take care of your contracts, schedules and business while she will take care of you." Dino smiled but I know na may double meaning ang sinabi nito. If I can just hug Dino right now, she would.

I was smiling widely. "Thank you, sir! I will really do my best!" tuwang-tuwa ako. Talon ako ng talon.

Nakangiti lang sina Mr. Ji Yong at Dino. The staff were also happy dahil naging close ko naman na din sila. I looked at Brye and can't help but smile even though it's evident he doesn't like what's happening.

Alam ko naman na sa loob niya tutol iyan eh. Pero wala na siyang magagawa dahil CEO na ang nag-appoint sakin and I really think they need all the help they can get since they are short of staff. They have no time to hire or fly people to the Philippines.

I just realized that I still have a chance. I'll make sure that I won't let this chance slip away from me.
