Chapter 27 ~ Suspended

Y/n's POV:

He smirks at Madison "hello Mads" I clench my jaw in anger and he smiles at me "Y/n" "dickhead" I stated quickly "ouch, now that's not a way to welcome a new kid to the school" I clench my fist then I look at him confused "new kid?" I watch him walk past me and I look down at Madison who stands there in shock, I tilt her head to look at me "he's not going to lay a finger on you okay princess? I promise you that" she nods but its weak and she starts breathing heavier "c- can we go outside?" I nod grabbing her hand and taking her outside "baby what's wrong?" she looks at me panicked gripping her shirt over her chest "I- I can't b- breathe" she says taking in small, shallow breaths "okay you're having panic attack" I grab both of her hands softly "try to take a deep breath for me, in and out" I try to do it with her, but she gives up halfway and falls to her knees "I can't!"

I try to think of a way to help her "okay umm tell me 5 things you can see" she looks at me confused but does it anyway "y- you, your eyes, my hoodie" she struggles a little as her breathing doesn't slow "your lips and your hair" I smile "good baby, now tell me 4 things you can feel" I stroke the back of her hand with my thumb gently "your hands" I nod "3 more baby girl, you are doing so well" "the wind, panic and..." she pauses "dizziness" I put my hand on her chin to keep her attention on me "keep going princess, 3 things you can hear" "your voice, the school bell and my heartbeat" she answers quickly "2 things you can smell baby, you're almost done" she looks up at me "your perfume, your breath" I laugh softly and nod "last one, 1 thing you can taste" she thinks for a second and I cup her cheeks pulling her to me and kissing her, she gasps holding her breath and then kissing me back. I pull away slowly and she whispers, "your lips" I smile nodding at her breathing that was now slowing "how did you do that?" I shrug "I read somewhere that if you hold your breath, it stops a panic attack and when I kissed you, you held your breath" I smile, she does the same back "so everything else?" I blush a little embarrassed "Was an attempt to help you but when it didn't work, I resorted to making you hold your breath" she giggles and takes a deep breath "thank you baby" I smile "of course baby girl" I kiss her cheek softly "I'm so proud of you. Now shall we go back in there?" she nods, I help her up from her knees walking her back in the classroom.

Madison's POV:

We entered the room again and a group of girls were around Zack obviously flirting with him, I walked with Y/n to the back of the room and we sat together she held my hand the entire time until the lesson started, she grabbed her pen to start taking notes "okay class get out your homework" the teacher says and me and Y/n look at each other then the professor as he starts walking around to collect the work Y/n leans over to Anna "homework?" she nods "it was the week you were in hospital with Madison for her surgery" he reaches our desk and then questions us "where is your homework girls?" I look at Y/n and then him "we couldn't do it" she says he sighs "and why is that?" "We were in hospital that week" he rolls his eyes "don't make excuses Y/n for your laziness" I look back to my girlfriend who started to get visibly frustrated "it's not an-" he cuts her off "don't lie to me either, detention for both of you" he walks to his desk "for what!? For something we can't control?!" she yells "baby calm down" I say gently rubbing my thumb over the top of her hand, he looks at me "baby? Oh, so you two are dating now. Y/n get out of my classroom."

My mouth drops open and so does hers "you're joking right?" she says, he looks at me "I'm sorry she influenced you Madison" I looked to my girlfriend who sat there shocked "influenced?! She didn't influence me at all!" he shakes his head "you are both confused, Y/n is a troublemaker this will blow over" Y/n stands up to storm out and I pull her hoodie to sit her back down, I stand up walking over to him "I am not confused. I am in love with Y/n, I don't care what homophobic assholes like you think about that! Y/n may have a reputation, but I don't care, she is a good person, she saved my life. I bet that's more than anything you've ever done in your pathetic life. If you kick her out of this class, just because of her sexuality I will go to the headmaster and have you fired!" he sits there in silence before smirking "then you can both leave, you are both suspended for the week" I look at my girlfriend and walk up to her grabbing her hand "fuck you" is the last thing I say to him before walking out of the room with her and grabbing my phone to call Y/n's mom because my parents are out of town.

"Madison, honey what's wrong, aren't you meant to be in school?" I look at Y/n who runs her hands through her hair to try and keep herself calm so she doesn't lash out "no, me and Y/n got suspended for the week" within a second I hear her almost yell "what!?" she asks in disbelief "yeah our geometry teacher called Y/n a liar when she said that we couldn't do the homework because we were in hospital so when I calmed her down, he realised we are together because I called her 'baby' and then he threatened to kick her out of the class. I went off on him and he told us we are both suspended" I hear silence before she shouts, "he fucking suspended you because of your sexuality?!" I hum in response "fuck no, wait in Y/n's car I'm coming to the school now" "thank you Y/m/n" I look to Y/n, I grab her hand gently hoping my touch will calm her "don't thank me, I'm on my way now. Keep Y/n calm, I'll see you soon darling" "bye mom" I hang up and pull Y/n close to me "your mom is coming, she told us to wait in your car till she gets here" she nods with her jaw locked and I gently stroke her cheek "you can relax baby girl, your mom is going to fix it."
