Chapter 16 ~ Searching

Y/n's POV:

Anna finally tells me to pull over and I slam my fist down on the steering wheel "Y/n calm down" I snap at her "Anna do not tell me to calm down! Harley has practically ruined the only good thing I had in my life, Madison is fucking missing and even if I find her, she will never let me explain the truth behind what happened. I'm going to fucking lose her; I can't fucking lose her!!" I expect Anna to retaliate when I yelled at her, but she just stayed silent and then my emotions took over and tears start to brim my eyes "I can't lose her. I can't lose the love of my life" the tears fall down my cheeks and Anna pulls me into a hug, I bury my head into her shoulder "the thought of it alone makes me want to scream" I feel her cuddle into me more "okay, then scream" I glance up at her a little and she nods before she moves her hand into my hair softly and then whispers "go ahead, scream Y/n" I bury my face more into her hoodie and scream as loud as I could my voice cracking throughout yet her hoodie muffling it, she grips onto me tighter "that's it get your anger out" I stop and I slowly fade into sobs, tears continue to stream from my eyes as I breakdown in her arms and she strokes my hair trying to calm me. I take a few deep breaths and move away wiping my eyes "sorry about your hoodie" she giggles "it's okay, didn't like it anyway" I laugh "you love that hoodie" she smiles "yeah but you needed it more than me" her eyes fall on her phone and then up to me "I think we should just go back to my place so you can rest, and we can continue the search when you are in a better state of mind okay?" I shake my head wanting to find her now and Anna grabs my jaw, turning me to look at her "if you find her now when you are like this you won't know what to say will you? Just trust me when you rest, I'll help you get her back. It obvious she loves you just as much as you do"

Madison's POV:

I wake up in the middle of the night from my throat being so dry from crying, I get out of bed walking over to my phone seeing hundreds of texts from Anna, Y/n and even my mom I decided I should call my mom to tell her I'm okay "Oh my god Madison!" I hear her sigh with relief "hey mom" I say my voice cracking "Madison where are you and why do you sound like you've been crying? Y/n called me panicked saying she couldn't find you" my face falls when I hear her name "it's a long story, I'll tell you when I come home. Just know I'm okay and that I'm safe" she sighs again "why aren't you with Y/n? Did she hurt you is that why you are crying?" I take a deep breath "mom, please just calm down and I'll be home tomorrow. I'm okay" I sigh as I get some water from the kitchen downstairs "I love you" I hang up and then I call my best friend Banana and she answers tiredly "Madison? Why are you calling me at 3 in the morning?" she rasps out "I found out Y/n cheated on me" I hear her gasp and then shout "WHAT!" I hold the phone away from my ear and then she apologises "but I thought-" I nod "yeah I thought she loved me to" I look down at my feet and Y/n calls me again "she won't stop calling me" Banana sighs "maybe you should answer" I become confused very quickly "what why?" she continues "well did you physically see her cheating on you?" I think back "no I just heard another girl moaning her name in the bathroom" she scoffs slightly and then carries on "maybe she wasn't cheating?" my mouth drops "I heard a girl moaning 'Oh fuck yes Y/n right there baby' How the fuck wasn't she cheating?" Banana falls silent "I don't know but something doesn't seem right, just try and talk to her or talk to Anna. You trust her, right?" I hesitate but nod and reply "yeah I guess so, thanks Banana" she blows a kiss down the phone, I do the same back before hanging up and calling Anna.

Anna's POV:

My phone starts buzzing on my lap and I look down to see Madison's contact, I gasp and pick up "Madison!? Where are you? You know what fuck that. Are you okay? Are you safe, do you need me to pick you up?" I ask quickly "Anna slow down, I'm safe I just want to cut right to the chase, okay?" she says, I stay quiet for her to continue "I'm guessing Y/n told you everything" I hum a response "mhm" she continues "okay I want to know exactly what she said to you" I take a deep breath "she didn't cheat on you Madison" I pause, she scoffs "no, honestly she didn't cheat. That was her ex Harley that you heard in the bathroom. Harley is the most toxic girl I know, she is obsessed with Y/n, meaning she would do anything to get her back" Madison then says, "then why didn't Y/n say anything or do something to stop her?" I sigh "She knew that if she tried to fight her off that Harley would get violent, which she did. When you knocked the door, she grabbed Y/n's throat so she couldn't breathe let alone say anything and Y/n has the mark on her neck to prove it" I hear Madison start to sob "oh my god why couldn't I just listen to her? Why didn't I just believe her? I have to come home to her" she says with a sniff "come to mine that's where we are headed, I'll send you the address now" I hear her sigh with relief "thank you Anna for telling me the truth. I'm on my way."

Madison's POV:

I run upstairs to grab my jacket and when I go downstairs and go to walk out the door, Lahyer is stood there "where do you think you're going?" I gulp "listen I  really appreciate you letting me stay here and for all the help, but I need to go back to my girlfriend" she shakes her head "I don't think so" I look at her confused and then my phone buzzes in my hand it's from Anna "I saw your location. You need to get out of that house now! That's Harleys place!"

Well looks like Lahyer is really Harley, what do you think is going to happen next? Will Anna and Y/n get there in time to help Madi or will they be too late?
