Death Toll: Church ( Last Part )

Diana's POV
We walked to Luke that was not breathing. This is all my fault i should've distracted Tank while i have the chance. But i was to scared. Im fit to be the leader of this team. "Im so sorry Nick. I didt helped Luke." I said. Luke is still breathing but not for long. "D-dad? Diana? A-are you guys s-still there?" Luke asked. He was breathing heavily. "We're here son." Nick said. "I dont t-think im g-gonna make i-it dad." Luke said. Nick started to cry and me too. He was a special friend to me. "Dont say that you'll make it!" Nick while sobbing. I looked at Nick with a curious face but still crying. "Dont cry diana." Luke said and touched my hand. We didnt have any good conversation together only with her dad but at least i had good times with him. I'll miss him. I liked him since i met him. "Why do you think i shouldn't cry?! Youre gonna die , you can barely breath and talk!" I yelled at him. "At least i had good times with you." He said. "Dad , Diana this is my last breath so come close to my mouth." Luke said. So this is it. Its what death looks like. "I....love.....y-you." He said and went speechless. He's dead. I cried and cried. Nick carried him but still crying. "Where are you taking him?" I asked. "We'll bury him." Nick said. We went outside i covered him while he's finding places to bury Luke. We found a place and it was beautiful. "Lets bury him here." I said. Nick nodded. "We need something to dig the sand." I said. Nick looked for something while i looked to Luke's dead body. "I never told that i liked you Luke." I said touching his hand. "But its okay. You'll be always here on my side." I said. Nick found some shovel. He dig the sand not really deep. We placed Luke gently there and buried him. "I'll miss you." I said quietly. I placed some wood on his grave so if i can visit him sometimes i can see it. "Lets go." I said. We continued our way finding the church. Im still crying. We found Ellis and Zoey talking. They looked at us and looked everywhere. "Where's Luke?" Ellis asked. "He's dead." Nick said. We went inside the church. "The door's locked! You know what to do." Zoey said. I kicked the door with full range. "It didnt budge." I said in an annoyed tone. "Hello? Is somebody there?" Nick knocked to the door. "Who's there?!" The man asked. He's infected. "We would like to share the safehouse with you." I said. "No! You have to be alive to do that!" He said. What's with this guy? "If i get in there i'll kick his fucking ass." Zoey said. The bell church started making sound. Uh-oh. Is this man crazy?! "Diners here!! Come and get it!!" What in the world?! The zombies came to us and we formed a circle. We started shooting them with grenade launcher and they were eliminated easily. "Well done. Round two!!" He yelled through the door. I'll kick his fucking infected ass once i get there. We started shooting at the zombies that took forever. The man on the safehouse went silent. "He's fully infected now." Nick said. "That's his fault for not letting us in!" Ellis said. I opened the door slowly and he turned into a boomer. I closed the door quickly. "He turned into a boomer." I said. Zoey opened the door slowly and shot boomer behind the door. We entered it and locked it. "This is gross." I said kicking the boomers body on the corner. Zoey , Ellis , and Nick are talking about Luke's death. I just sat there silent. If luke didnt die he would talk with me now. I never had told him i loved him as a brother. I remembered a lot of good times with him ever since we've met then i went crying. They sat beside me and started comforting me. I hugged Nick while crying. He's cooling me down. We slept beside each other.

[ The Next Day ]

I woked up 5:00 in the morning. I saw Zoey hugging me. She seems comfortable with me. I noticed that Nick's arms are wrapped around mine's. I slowly got their hands away from me and went at the weapons at the table in front of me. "Lets see. Chrome Shotgun , Axe , Ak-47 , Combat Rifle , Submachine Gun , Rifle M60 , Grenade Launcher , Sniper Military , Katana , Second Pistol , Crowbar , Magnum Pistol , and Pump Shotgun. I have all of these except the crowbar." I said to myself. I looked at Nick who only have Pump Shotgun , Molotov , Magnum Pistol , First Aid Kit , and Pills. He dont have a lot of weapons. I just went back to where i was and slept. It time for a new day. Forget about what happened yesterday. Its a new day.
