Dead Air: Construction Site

Diana's POV
I pretended to sleep because some special infected might get here. I walk up to the couch sat. "Its gonna be a long day to get at the woods." I said. "Why are you awake?" Nick got up. "I pretended to sleep." I said. "Why?" Nick sat beside me. "No reason." I shrugged. "I miss L- someone." I said. I dont wanna say Luke because Nick will be sad. I dont want him to be sad. "Really? Who?" Nick asked. "The other team and Luke." I said. "Yeah. I remember the good times i had with my dear son." Nick said. "He's a good friend." I said. "Do you like him?" Nick asked. I blushed. I just like him as a brother. "As a brother of course." I said. "Its pretty late you should sleep." Nick said. "No i wont." I said. Im not sleepy and i dont even wanna sleep. "Alright." Nick said. I raised an eyebrow. "I'll not sleep without you." He said. I blushed. Without me? "Seriously?" I asked. "Yes." He said. "No! You'll sleep with or without me!!" I said. "Oh come on." He pouted. "Alright. Im not gonna sleep." I crossed my arms and legs. "Same as me?" He asked. "Same as you." I reassured him. "Our next stop is the Construction Site." I said. "Its pretty shitty." He said. Its been a long time we havent say bad words. "What do you mean?" I asked. "I hate Construction Site's." He said. "You me too." I said. "When there's a Construction Site, i can walk to some streets." Nick said. "Its troublesome." I said. Nick chuckled. "I like your attitude." I said. "Im mean. You like it?" He asked. "Sure. Sometimes i hate and like meanies." I said. Its true. When the world is still normal i have so many mean friends and bullies. They're being mean to me and bullying me then i got used to it. I finally had the courage to fight them. "Wake up slumbering Diana." Nick said. "What?" I asked. "I said the others are awake." He said. "What? Why?" I asked. "Dunno. Destined to be awake?" Zoey shrugged. "Haha." Ellis said. "Ready to go?" I asked. "Already?" Ellis complained. "Why?" Nick asked. "Because we have to get to the woods. Immediately." I said. "Oh. Then lets go!" Zoey said. "Right." We all said. We picked up our weapons and packed our things. We went carefully outside. "Hey there's no zombies here." Nick said. "Sweet!!" Ellis said. "Lets run to the next safehouse!!" I yelled. Zoey accidentally dropped the boomer puke on us. "Zoey!!!" We yelled. "Sorry!!!" She yelled back. The zombies came to us. "Cant see a goddamn thing!!" Nick yelled. We started shooting at the zombies. A couple of minutes later, the zombies were all dead and we were not covered in boomer puke anymore. "Next time you do that again i'll rip off your jacket and tear them into shreds!" I yelled at Zoey. All of their faces were shocked and curious about what i just said. "What did i just said?" I asked. "Wow. Didnt know that youre that mean?" Zoey said. Mean? "Really?" I asked. "She just yelled at you. That doesnt mean she's mean." Nick said. "Okay." Zoey said. "Lets get going." I said. We continued walking. "Smoker is somewhere." Ellis said. "Heeeelp!!!!" I yelled. Im being constricted by smoker. "Hang on!!" Nick yelled. Nick sliced off the tongue and Zoey shot Smoker. "Thanks *cough* you guys." I said. "Graaaaah!!!" Tank yelled. "Right now?!?" We yelled. We started shooting Tank and he started running toward us. Ellis threw a molotov at Tank and now Tank's on fire. "Shoot him!!" Zoey yelled. We shot Tank all at once with grenade launcher then Tank died. "Run!!" I yelled. We started running and run. We stopped because we saw the safehouse. "That was quick." Nick said. "Yeah. Wait. Did we even passed the Construction Site?" I asked. "Yep. When we were fighting Tank." Ellis said. "Really? Didnt even see it." I said. We entered the safehouse and saw a bunch of health kits and other things. "What are these for?" Ellis asked. "The next stop must be hard." Zoey said. After 2 hours of talking we went outside the safehouse. "Next stop, Terminal." I said quietly.
