Dead Air: Crane ( Part 1 )

Nick's POV
"....ick! Nick!! Wake up!!" Diana yelled. "What time is it?" I asked getting up. "8:45 we gotta get moving!" Diana said. I packed up my things and got ready. "Everyone ready?" Diana asked. I yawned. "Yes." We said. "Good." Diana said and we walked out of the saferoom. "Man its so quiet. Crickets creep me out." Ellis said. "I know. I hate crickets." Diana said. "Youre just like Francis who hates everything." Zoey said. "I dont half hate everything." Diana said. "Shhhh!!! Boomette!!" I said. Diana peeked through a window. "Youre right." Diana said. The lovebirds peeked too. "Boomer's wife?" Ellis asked. "Hell yeah." I said. Diana shot it. "Dead." She said. "Nice." Zoey said and we came out of our hiding spot. "Lets get going." Diana said. Zoey looked at her phone. "What?" She asked. "We gotta keep moving." Diana said. "Rochelle just texted me and i have to reply." Zoey said. "What did she say?" I asked. "Reminded us that we have to meet at the woods." Zoey said placing her phone at her pocket. "Oh." We all said. I looked at front and saw Diana shaking. "Are you alright?" I asked. "C-charger." She said. What's so wrong about charger? "What?" I asked. "Im scared of them because they almost killed me." Diana looked down. I shot it many times and it died of course. "Its dead no need to freak out." I said. Diana is calmed and back to normal. We heard hunter screamed and attracted zombies. "Get ready." Zoey said. We formed a circle and the zombies are running to us. We shot it and shot it. "There's no end to them!!" Ellis yelled. I saw a ladder. "Guys! Climbed at the ladder i'll cover you!!" I said. They all climbed the ladder so i did. "Pipe bomb or Molotov?" Ellis asked. "Molotov." I said. Diana threw a molotov below us and the zombies are now in fire. "Nailed it." Diana said. We saw Tank but he didnt saw us. "Quick! Throw a molotov at Tank!!" Diana whispered. I threw a molotov Tank and shot him with my grenade launcher. "Got him." I said. "Look! The crane!!" Zoey pointed at the crane. "Its so far!" I said. "And witch is around." I added. "Kill your damn lights!" Diana said. We turned off our lights and continued walking. We saw witch crying at the corner of some house. "Ignore her." Diana said. We ignored her. "The crane is still too far. I hate walking too long." Diana said. 'Zoey is right. She hates everything.' I thought. "Wake up slumbering nick!!" Diana slapped me. "Im back!! That hurts!!" I said touching my left cheek. "Its your fault for taking a freaking nap." Ellis said. Zoey nodded. "Lets just go." I said. They nodded and we continued walking. After 10 minutes of walking we're still not at the crane. "How....long are we.....gonna get....there?!?" Zoey asked. "28 more minutes. "That's is so far." I said sitting on the floor. "We can rest a bit here." Diana said. "Oh sure." Ellis said and sat beside Diana. He's a robber. I sat beside Diana and now Diana is in the middle of us. "Guys? Boomer , Hunter , and Charger are here somewhere." Zoey said. I can tell she's a bit annoyed. "Really? Where?" Diana asked. "Who knows?" Zoey said. Meanie. "Be careful." Ellis said. "Yeah sure whatever." Zoey rolled her eyes. She's jealous because Ellis likes Diana. The truth is Ellis likes Zoey but he's hiding it. "Boomer behind." Diana said and shot the boomer that's behind me. "It almost burst at you." Zoey said. "Charger is somewhere." Ellis said. Diana stopped her tracks. Again. "Dont worry." I touched her shoulder. "Stop that. Youre creeping me out." Diana said. "Im just trying to comfort you." I said. She's shaking again. Almost killed by charger huh? That's unexpected. "Wake up nick." Diana whispered through my ear. "Im back." I whispered back. Hunter almost jumped on Zoey but Ellis saved her life. "Thanks." Zoey smiled. "Youre welcome." Ellis smiled back. "Charger l-left." Diana said sttutering. "Whoa. Are you freaked out?" Ellis asked. "Y-y-yes. Why?" Diana asked. "Nothing." Ellis said. "Why are you freaked out anyways?" Zoey asked. "Because charger's almost killed me." Diana said. "One time the army bombed my buddy keith-" Ellis stopped. "What?" I asked. "Charger behind Diana!!!" Zoey yelled. Diana turned around and screamed. Charger started pummeling Diana and i was just shooting Charger. Charger died because of my shooting. I went ot Diana who was breathing heavily. Looks like she's really scared of Chargers huh? "Are you alright?" Ellis asked. I helped Diana stand up. "Yes." Diana said. "I feel sleepy." Diana added. "You can sleep at my back for a while." Me and Ellis said in unison. "She'll sleep on me." I said. Ellis sighed in defeat and nodded. Diana went on my back and rested her head on my shoulder then drifted to sleep.
