The rest of week went by relatively quickly and soon enough it was Saturday and the Slytherin quidditch team were in the common room discussing last minute game changes. Lucy and Tina had just come back from breakfast and were getting organized to head down to the field when suddenly Lucy's shoelaces became tied together and she tripped over, catching herself before her face hit the floor.
"You alright, Luce" Tina asked, helping her friend sit up. Lucy began annoyingly untying her laces as she watched Pansy and Daphne laughing, leaving the common room.
"Watch where you're going next time!" Draco called out to her teasingly, as he and the other quidditch players left as well. Lucy let out an exasperated groan as she finally untied her shoelaces.
"Remind me to start wearing shoes with no laces." Lucy said, looking up to Tina who was giving her a friendly smile as she helped her stand.
"Come on, let's go." Tina said and the two of them left the castle towards the quidditch match. Tina had on a dark grey raincoat, which covered a fluffy green sweater, black jeans and black ankle gumboots.
They found a spot in the stand and sat down, feeling the strong breeze surrounding them. After five minutes both the Gryffindor and Slytherin team made their way onto the field. After a few more minutes they were on their brooms in the air and Madam Hooch was blowing her whistle to start the match.
Lucy and Tina cheered on their house and watched in excitement as Slytherin shot another goal!
"Slytherin lead Gryffindor ninety to thirty!" Lee Jordan, the commentator sang over the speakers.
Lucy watched as Draco sped off on his broom, chasing what appeared to be the snitch, Harry just in front of him, when suddenly a bludger flew toward the direction of Harry and Draco.
The two boys chased after the snitch while the bludger chased after them. "What is going on with that bludger?" Lucy turned to Tina shocked, who shook her head.
Suddenly Draco and Harry disappeared, and after a few moments a broomstick flew up from between the stands and the field, followed by Draco, who was thrown off his broomstick, landing on the ground. Lucy gasped and watched as he winced in pain. Immediately, Lucy dashed past the crowd of people, heading down to the field, Tina a few seconds behind her. A few minutes later Harry had caught the snitch and was trying to get away from a rogue bludger when Hermione cast a spell that disintegrated it.
When Lucy got down to the field, she noticed a crowd had surrounded around Harry as the bludger had smashed into his forearm, Professor Lockhart was kneeling beside him. Lucy watched as the Professor cast a spell that made Harry's forearm bend, as if there were no bones holding it straight. She walked over to where Draco was laying, a couple of the other Slytherin's were around him, helping him to his feet. He winced in pain as they half dragged, half carried him off the field. Lucy and Tina followed behind them.
They made their way into the hospital wing and the Slytherin boys placed Draco onto one of the empty beds.
Lucy and Tina were at his side as they left. "You played great, Malfoy." Tina exclaimed, giving him a sympathetic smile. Draco held a pained look on his face as she spoke.
"Hey, Tina? Why don't you go and get Madam Pomfrey?" Lucy suggested. Tina nodded in agreement and went in search for her.
"He looked so disappointed." Draco whispered through his teeth after she had left their side.
"Who did?" Lucy asked, sitting on the chair beside his bed.
"My father. He came to watch my first game. You should have seen his face." Draco replied.
