Lucy and her family began the same journey back to Kings Cross Station in London that Lucy memorized all too well. It didn't take them long to get onto the platform and there, before Lucy, was the black and red train, the Hogwarts Express. She hugged her mother and father and gave Reuben a quick squeeze before following her brother onto the train.

Lucy found an empty compartment and hoped her friends would find her. Soon enough, Tina and Lisa came bursting in, squealing like excited little girls. The three of them enveloped into a big hug. As they were pulling away, Draco snickered at the door. Lucy shot her eyes up to meet his and gave him a glare.

"Hey Malfoy. Did you have a nice summer?" Tina asked. Lucy noticed her flutter her eyelids a little too hard at Draco.

"Yeah wasn't too bad, was it Parcivall?" He said turning to Lucy, oblivious to the fact Tina was trying to flirt with him. He gave a smirk to her as he stepped into the compartment.

"Anyway," Lucy began, "is there something we can help you with?" Lucy asked, hardly paying any attention to him.

"Actually, there is." He began, sighing to himself as though the next words out of his mouth were the hardest things he ever had to say. "Mind if we sit with you? There aren't a lot of empty compartments this year." Draco finally asked. He looked to Lucy to answer but was surprised when Tina jumped up and offered him a seat next to her.

"Of course, you can!" She exclaimed. "Here, I'll move over." Tina replied. Lucy gave her a sort of look that said, 'stop trying so hard'. Draco sat down, followed by Crabbe and Goyle sat next to Lucy. Draco watched him as he sat down, careful not to sit too close to Lucy.

Lucy turned her gaze to the window and watched as the train departed from the station. Tina had gone into an in-depth report of her summer to Draco, who was barely even listening.

"Did you have a nice summer, Goyle?" Lucy asked quietly to the tall, square faced boy beside her. Lucy could feel Draco's eyes on them as they spoke about what they had gotten up to over summer. She was interested to hear that while he and Crabbe hung out lots, Draco was far too busy to spend time with them and they only caught up a couple times over summer. Lucy turned to Draco and gave him a smile, he returned it with a quick smirk.

Towards the end of their ride the girls left the compartment to change into their robes. Lucy looked at herself in the mirror in the girl's bathroom. She had missed her Slytherin uniform. As they made their way back, she noticed Hermione sitting in a compartment with Neville and some other Gryffindor's.

"Hermione!" Lucy called out as she popped her head into their compartment. Hermione jumped up from her seat and rushed over to give Lucy a hug. "Where's Harry and Ron?" Lucy asked looking around at the others sitting down.

"I have no idea; they were supposed to be here, but I haven't seen them yet." She answered. Lucy shrugged and the two spoke about their summers. After a while Lucy left Hermione and went back to her compartment, upon entering she realised there were two extra people sitting.

Pansy and Daphne. They were draped over Draco, hanging onto his every word and he was loving it. "I almost forgot you were coming back to Hogwarts, Parcivall." Pansy mocked as Lucy put away her everyday clothes back into her suitcase.

"Hello to you too, Pansy. Have a nice summer?" Lucy asked patronizingly. Pansy shot her a deathly glare.

"Wasn't half bad. Would've been nice if Draco here, had have any time to spend with me." She drawled, looking over to Draco. He shifted his gaze slightly to meet Lucy's eyes watching him.

"Appears you're not the only one." Lucy taunted, snickering to herself.

"Don't call me that." Draco snapped quietly to Pansy, who looked as though he had just slapped her across the face. "It's Malfoy to you." He added quietly, shifting his gaze from her hand hanging onto his arm. Lucy looked over at Draco as she sat back down, between Goyle and Tina, and he was already watching her. It was squished having the two-extra people in their compartment and Lucy watched as Draco eyed her thigh, touching Goyle's, a frustrated expression washing over him. Pansy took no notice of Lucy for the remainder of the ride to Hogwarts, and luckily it wasn't very long until the train pulled up to the Hogsmeade station.
