It's been hours and we finally talked to Monomi about outfits and she said she's got it all sorted out. She asked if me and Nagito could pass out the outfits to our classmates. They all had tags with the person's name on it. We walked around the first couple of islands looking for our classmates. Nagito was carrying the dresses and I had the suits. After about an hour of walking around the 3 islands passing out outfits, it was 4:36. If I remember correctly, the party started at 5pm and ended around 11pm, so a little past nighttime. Everyone had about an hour and a half to get prepared for the dance.
"Hey, Nagito." I said.
"Yeah Hajime?" He responded, turning his head in my direction. I felt my face flush red. "Um, I'm gonna head back to my cottage and change. You do the same, okay?" I said looking at him.
He smiled and said, "Sure, no problem Hajime!" and then we both walked away to our own cottages. I went inside my own and saw the suit on my bed. I picked up to see what it was and I saw that it was a black blazer with matching pants, a white dress shirt with a green tie.
After changing into the suit, I checked the time and saw that it was 4:52. Still 10 minutes until the party. I'm gonna go to Chiaki's cottage and see how she's doing. I opened the door and walked to where the girls cottages were. I finally got to Chiaki's door and knocked. The doorknob turned and I saw Chiaki standing there.
"Nyeh...." She looked like a mess.
"Chiaki, you do know that the party starts in...." I checked the clock behind her. "five minutes, right?" I said.
"Wait really? Where's my dress?" Chiaki said, tilting her head to the side.
"It should just be on your bed.." I answered. She turned her head to look behind her and saw it on her chair, because then she grabbed it and held it up to look at it.
"Ah, thank you Hajime. Well I need to change now, see you later!" She waved me goodbye and I shut the door. I started walking towards the Old Hotel Building. I made it to the door and opened it to see a bunch of streamers and other crazy decorations. I walked in the room where the party was taking place. When I opened that door, I heard loud music, and saw bright lights flashing everywhere. There was a long table to the left of me, with a punch bowl, cups, and a lot of snacks. And in front of me, I saw a DJ booth. Monomi was up there. I don't know what I expected but it wasn't this.
