Jenny

"Stop," I say in my best commanding voice, as I put an arm in front of the others.

"C'mon, let's just keep going. It's not like the Ares cabin is here yet," a guy who looks a bit like a teenager (and probably is), complains, rolling his eyes.

I let out a huge sigh of annoyance, rolling my eyes back at him. Tsk tsk tsk. What a stupid boy. Can't he hear the loud elephant noises stomping closer? Doesn't he have any patience?

"Alright then. But FYI, you might want to get out your sheid. You'll definitely be captured quickly with that ignorance of yours. Everyone else, hide and get ready to defend yourselves and the area around the flag unless you want to be pummeled by them."

The boy rolls his eyes once more, not daring to talk back while a plan (that may lead to our success) is being made.

"Anything else, Willy Billy?" I ask Will with a smirk, teasing him.

Will sighs heavily, "Nothing to add, Great Master of Archery."

Everybody who didn't know about our contest (including May), looked confused to why Will was calling me, "Master". Just something Jessie didn't know too – The winner of the archery contest was to be called "Great Master of Archery" for two weeks by the loser. Quite a nice prize, if you ask me. Besides, he should've known better than. I always beat him at archery. His dear father, Apollo is probably dissapointed in him for not beating a child of Dionysus. Sucker.

As everybody finds a spot to hide, May hides in a bush, her frying pan ready to smash anyone who gets in her way. Just as I start to scamper up a tree and get ready to aim, the sounds grow louder, until the booming of their footsteps send a shudder through the ground.

"Get out here and fight us, ya wimps!" a bulky Ares camper yells defiantly, appearing in the middle of my view. Apparently, he didn't know that May is with us, or he wouldn't have said that, because May uses a large, silver, frying pan.

Everybody's eyes immediately dart towards me. I can feel my confidence failing on me. I was not usually a leader or a speaker in front of large crowds, but I realize that if Jessie can do this, then I can too.

With a deep breath, I quietly left up three fingers to signal when to attack.

Three... I make sure everyone is watching.

                Two...I put one finger down.

One...I put down one more finger and lift my bow.

"ZERO!" I yell as loud as I can, releasing my arrow aimed towards a camper.

As soon as the arrow is released, chaos erupts. The deafening sounds of yells and the clangs of swords fill my ears as I launch an arrow (that will quickly separate into a dozen arrows) towards the sky.
