Alianna was at the field office at 7 am with Reid and Rossi. They gave the profile together, though it was mostly Reid and Rossi. She glanced at Joyner, still conflicted in her feelings for her. What frustrated her most was that Joyner let her personal feelings get in the way of what was a good strategy and she dragged Hotch down with her. Joyner seemed to prefer being in charge and while Alianna understood, it also annoyed her a bit. But she set her feelings aside as they had a criminal to catch. She saw Hotch pick up a phone and walked with Morgan and Rossi too where he was.
"Hotch. Does it look like it could be one of our guys?" Hotch asked. Alianna could only hear one side of the conversation.
"What's going on?" Morgan asked. Alianna glanced at him then back at Hotch.
"We've got eyes on one of them, he's on the subway platform at 59th and Lex," Hotch informed them. Alianna sighed to herself, knowing Morgan had suggested they be there last night.
"59th? We could have been right there," Morgan stated, anger edging at his tone. Alianna nodded in agreement with Morgan, but laid a reassuring hand on his shoulder to calm him.
"He's got a gun," they all hear Garcia say over the phone. And then the man shoots someone and they hear about that too.
"Where the hell are the police?" Joyner asked before picking up a phone, "This is Kate Joyner with the FBI. We have a murder suspect, subway platform 59th and Lex."
"He's getting away!" Garcia informs them.
"Garcia can you get eyes on him above ground?" Rossi asked the tech analyst.
"He's heading west on 59th street," Garcia answered.
"If he makes it to the park, we've lost him," Kate spoke up again. Alianna glanced at her with worry evident in her eyes.
"We've lost visual," the female helping Garcia informed them.
"Are the police on the scene?" Rossi asked, trying to keep his tone even. It was evident that they were all frustrated at this.
"Negative," Garcia responded. Alianna sighed, sending looks at Hotch and Joyner.
"We could've had that guy," Morgan looks to be extremely frustrated, and Alianna shared that frustration with him.
"Even if we were on that platform, odds are he would have moved on to someone isolated," Joyner defends her decision. Alianna raised a brow at her, still not agreeing with her decision.
"You may be right, but it was still worth taking a shot," Alianna defended Morgan and his idea.
"We had every available man on the street," Joyner said.
"And I suggested to you that you use this team," Morgan responded.
"Second guessing doesn't do us any good right now," Hotch says, trying to defuse the tension. He sent looks to Morgan and Alianna, warning them to back off. ALianna glared defiantly at him, still unimpressed with him as well.
"Hotch, how am I supposed to look these cops in the eye and tell them that we're actually here to help them?" Morgan asked.
"We're here to present a profile, that's what we need to do," Hotch responded. Alianna sighed out loud at this, still glaring at Hotch with defiance.
"I said to put us at express stops; 14th, 42nd, 59th; and that's exactly where they hit," Morgan exclaimed.
"It's not your place to have this discussion," Hotch told Morgan firmly. Alianna looked shocked then angry at Hotch for that statement.
