The building was cold and unwelcoming. The stone pillars groaned, protesting the weight of the structure. I could hear several sets of small feet shuffled overhead through the uncovered pipes. Gravel scrapped underfoot, illuminated by the soft blue glow fighting off the gloom. Toga's knife glinted ominously.

"They should be here soon, get into position" I whispered after checking my watch.

The three of us fanned out, crouching behind overturned furniture and crumbling infrastructure.

Mostly out of spite, Shigaraki had sent Dabi, Toga and I on a mission. The league of villains were ones to get involved in small crimes, but we had caught word of a group of imitations that were slandering our name. I suspected that Tomura used this as an excuse to get us out of the base. Over the past few weeks, we had gotten to know each other. I wouldn't say I would trust anyone, aside from Dabi, with my life or anything, but I liked them a bit more than when we first met. We had become a messed-up family of sorts. Kurogiri was the one keeping us all from tearing each other to shreds. He was like the father figure of the group. Shigaraki was the moody older brother. I could best describe Toga as the crazy, outgoing cousin. Dabi was, well, he was Dabi. He either acted like an older brother, an uncle, or a spectator. I liked to think of myself as the levelheaded one in this 'family' but that was really up for debate according to the others.

A murmur of voices interrupted my thoughts and I snapped back to focus on the mission ahead. Two people came into view as they rounded the corner. The voices filled the empty space. According to the mission details, these two were some of the ones posing as us. Earlier, we had set up a trap that would ensure the whole group. All we had to do was wait for the others, capture them, and bring them to Shigaraki for questioning. The better word was probably torture though.

"Boo!" Toga leapt out of her hiding spot; a knife brandished.

This was not part of the plan. We were supposed to wait for the other and take them out all at once. Time to move onto plan B, just go for it. I vaulted over the ruble to join Toga in the fight. The two men had reacted quickly to our ambush. Dabi soon followed suit, hands ablaze in a deadly inferno. He used his quirk to herd them away from any escape routes.

"What the hell Toga, the others aren't even here yet!" Dabi shouted.

"Oopsie," she said, not an ounce of regret in her voice.

"Don't you know who we are, who we work for?" one of the men shouted.

"I think you are just a bunch of copycats," I replied, my knife just barely missing his leg.

"What?" the second man paled slightly at this, "that's impossible, we are the terrifying League of Villains!"

"That's a bunch of BS," Dabi said in response.

Dabi shifted his fire in a more offensive arc. The two men shriek as their clothing ignited. Toga took this as an opportunity to dig one of her knives into them. Their cries of agony echoed around the room.

"What the...?"

I whirled around to see the remainder of the group standing there in shock. They took one look at the sight of their buddies burning and ran. My hand shot on, a steady stream of Dabi's fire channeling out of me and cutting off their path.

I let my face turn wicked as I said, "welcome to the party."

By the time we got back we were all covered in soot and rubble. The second wave had put up a decent fight, but we ultimately won in the end. The six posers were successfully locked up in the lower levels of the base where Shigaraki was 'questioning' them.
