Short chapter today, next week's will be longer though.

The air hung heavy with dust from the rubble surrounding us. Heroes lay strewn across the battlefield, each in a mutilated state of their own. I got to my feet, still nauseated at the sludge. Beside me was Toga, also on her feet. She turned and gave me a weak smile before facing the scene ahead. All for One stood mere steps away, clad in a suit and mask that completely covered his face. He definitely looked the part of a villain. The rest of the league was here, Dabi and Kurogiri still unconscious. Bakugo was also present, hands raised and surveying his surroundings, probably looking for the best route of escape. His eyes flicked to the league, who had him encircled, and the injured heroes. He was cursing under his breath, popping off some explosions to ward everyone off.
"Tomura, you have failed again I see," All for One's rasped. "This is all for you, so let us try once more, I'm here to help you."
"I-" Shigaraki started.
"However, now is not the time for such pleasantries, we have company," He raised his fist to meet a brutal punch, the air whipping around them. "Good to see you again, All Might."
"All for One!!" All Might bellowed in rage, putting all his weight behind his hits.
I jumped out of the way of their blasts. Both were powerful adversaries, and they didn't seem to be holding back. Besides, we had other matters to deal with. As part of the league, it was my job to capture Bakugo. I drew out my knives, tossing one in Toga's direction. You thanked me quickly as she tossed it from one hand to the other, testing it out. Bakugo made a break for it, trying to slip out back and use the chaos as a cover. It didn't go unnoticed as the league rushed him. Toga swinging her knife, Twice using his tape, and Compress trying to marbleize Bakugo.
"You're not going anywhere," Shigaraki drawled, blocking his exit.
"What a pain in ass," Bakugo sneered in response.
Instead of joining the fray, I chose to go check on the other two members. Both were still unconscious but other than that they seemed fine. I attempted to wake Dabi, but he was out cold. They would both have one killer headache when they awoke. I sighed, deciding that I should probably help. I took the first opening I saw to knock Bakugo off his feet. He staggered back a few steps, watching me wearily.
"It's really a shame we can't make you all bloody, it would be so pretty," Toga gushed, causing
Bakugo to send her a look of disgust.
"Why don't you make this easier on all of us and come peacefully," I suggested, not really in the mood for a fight.
"Nah, not really my style," he said, setting off a series of explosions for empathise.
"Suit yourself then," I replied.
Anyone could tell he was a hero in training based on the way he moved. Despite being completely outnumbered, he still held his own against us, dodging almost everything we threw his way. He was also a lot smarter than he looked, calculating the best ways to use his quirk for both offense and defense. Every now and again someone managed to land a good blow on him, but he remained just out of reach. Lucky bastard, having such a great quirk. It was unfortunate that I had run out of usable quirk energy. I had used the last remnants of Dabi's power heating myself up on my walk here, stupid move. It had totally slipped my mind to get Dabi to let me borrow his power after I saw Bakugo. The only other quirk I had was some energy sucking quirk that I needed to touch the person in order for it to be effective. So, I was just left with my weapons against him. Bakugo had yet to send a blow towards me so I couldn't absorb any of his quirk.
"Got you now!" Toga cheered, having Bakugo corned so he couldn't escape.
Suddenly, a large shard of ice erupted from the ground. Everyone stopped in their tracks to look up at it. Three bodies shut off the tip, barreling at a high speed over the battlefield.
"Come on!" shouted a voice, the redhead by the looks of it.
I locked eyes with Bakugo. He looked as if he wanted to say something but chose not to. I lunged forwards; hand outstretched to grab him. He sent a blast from his palm, knocking both Shigaraki, who had also dived after him, to the ground. I watched as his explosions propelled him into the air towards the figures high above us. He latched onto their outstretched hands and disappeared behind some buildings. I felt oddly satisfied that he got away. I knew that he would never have joined the league anyways.
"Quick, don't let him escape!"
I turned to see Mr. Compress shooting through the sky after them, a result of the combined effort of Magne and Spinner. He didn't make it far though, Mt. Lady, who had been somewhere in the rubble, blocked his path, sending Compress tumbling back to the ground.
"Izumura!" Shigaraki cried, advancing on me, "do something!"
I glanced up into the sky, watching as they faded into the distance.
"They are too far out of range, I can't do anything," I shrugged,
In truth, I might have been able to reach them, but he didn't need to know that.
"Damnit!" Shigaraki cried ,slamming his fists to the ground.
All for One and All Might were still sparring intensely. The ground around them had cleaved in two at their power. All for One pause brief, examining us.
"Go, save your strength for another battle," he instructed.
"But master-!" Shigaraki said.
But All for One had used Magnes' quirk to fling us through the warp gate he had previously opened. The battlefield disappeared from sight as we were swallowed up by the darkness.
