"Get me a tv, damnit!" Shigaraki screeched, sending everyone scrambling.
The reason behind Tomura's fiery was how All for One flung us out of the battle and sent us to one of our alternate hideouts. The place was just an abandoned apartment in the shadier parts of town, not quite as nice as the bar. The windows were boarded up with old newspapers and wooden barricades, making the only source of light the small tv we had found. The tv was streaming footage of the ongoing battle ravaging the city. It was hard to see much on the small screen with everyone crowding around it, that and the signal kept glitching out. It had only been a few minutes since we left, but the carnage was catastrophic. A few other heroes had arrived to help with the evacuation. It seemed like they had gotten everyone out and now All Might didn't need to hold his punches. The two were really going at it.
All for One was in bad shape, and severally out matched. All Might didn't look much better himself, but he had other heroes to back him up. Deciding the outcome of this battle was obvious, I took this as an opportunity to go check on our injugried.
In our haste to satisfy Tomura's demands, we had left the rest of the league in the front entry; Dabi and Kurogiri lay piled on top of each other.
"What the hell, how heavy are you?" I muttered as I dragged Dabi into the main room.
Kurogiri on the other hand, barely weighed anything. I guess it was to be expected with his misty build. I prodded at the two. This roused Kurogiri but Dabi was still sawing logs. With a smile on my face, I found a bucket and filled it with ice cold water. This was revenge for that one time. He woke with a start, fist blazing.
"No need to burn the place down," I said.
He grimaced as he got up, twisting the water out of his soaken clothes.
"Thanks," his tone was anything but.
I gestured to him, leading him to the tv to watch the battle. I leaned against the door frame to watch; the room was packed like sardines. Aside from the destruction of a few more buildings, I hadn't missed much in the time I went to wake the others. Kurogiri and Dabi were briefed on the situation. Near the end of Mr. Compress' explanation, Dabi glanced at me. I gave him a questioning look in return. He sauntered over to me, still dripping wet.
"You feeling good?" Dabi asked.
"Me? You're the one that got knocked out,"
"That doesn't exactly answer my question," he eyed me wearily.
"Well, I'm not quite sure what your asking,"
He glanced around to make sure no one was listening before whisper, "you know, with Bakugo."
I scowled slightly, crossing my arms over my chest, " I'm fine, absolutely nothing to be worried about."
It was true, I didn't feel anything. That said, I was glad he managed to get out. I wasn't supposed to feel anything towards him, but here I am, hoping he isn't hurt; stupid feelings couldn't make up their damn mind. I suppose I hadn't let go of the childhood fantasy we used to live. Where he was my best friend, where he could have been more... I shook my head, burying that thought far away. He wasn't here anymore. There was no sense in worrying. I shifted my weight back onto my feet as I headed into the tiny space and found a seat to watch as the rest of the fight unfolded.
Bakugo's Pov
Everyone was out of breath. Those damn extras, a small smile tugged at my lips, but I buried it, didn't need the nerds all up in my face about it. The whole crew had been there. Currently Raccoon eyes, Shitty hair, and for some reason, even emergency exit were here. Four eyes was talking over the phone to the others, icy-hot and that Momo girl, telling them that the 'rescue mission' had gone successfully.
