"dude, i'm so broke!" you exclaimed to you're best friend over facetime. you were currently viewing your bank balance and realized it was sitting at $150.

"you spend a whole bunch of money all the time," you friend said. "that's why i try to pay for you when we go out. i just know you're gonna spend a bunch."

you rolled your eyes at your phone that was propped up on some books, your laptop still making you feel miserable by just showing all your recent spends. "yeah but the last time i checked my balance, it had like $1,200 in it."

"how long ago was that?"

"last week."

you both paused before your friend started to laugh her ass off. "y/n! did you just say your balance was $1,200? LAST WEEK!"

"yeah, ha, laugh all you want." you rolled your eyes and shut off your laptop. "i just can't help it sometimes."

"yeah i know," your friend had finally said after she calmed down from laughing too much. "but don't you have cashapp?"

"uh yeah, why?"

"just put your cash tag in your bio and then someone will bless you with money."

"who would do that?"

"y/n, you have over 10k followers," you friend pointed her head down and looked at you through her lashes. "someone is bound to cashapp you money."

and after the facetime ended, that's what you did.

you grabbed your phone, bid goodbye to your best friend, and went to instagram to put your cash tag in your bio.

needless to say, you felt like you were begging people to give you money. you've never asked for money before so, why now?

you brushed that thought aside while you also posted something on your story that read: 'cash tag in bio. pay me money because i'm hot 🙄☝🏾."

"no one is gonna give me money," you murmured to yourself. "this is ridiculous."

you rolled you eyes again and placed your phone on the nightstand and shut off your lamp.

you said a silent goodnight to yourself and fell asleep.
