"I'm paying, George, go sit somewhere." Dream stood on line at the coffee shop, taking in the way that the Sunday regulars were sitting in their spots, drinking their coffee.

He noted the woman who was sitting at her spot, book in front of her but not red. She was staring at the small body of water that was across the way. He wondered if she missed the snow.

There was an old man sitting in a lounge chair and nodding off despite the two cups of coffee bed to him. He wondered if he had spoken to his children recently.

There was a brunette man sitting in a blue crewneck and sweat pants that pooled at his ankles because they clearly weren't his. His nose was buried in his cellphone waiting for the person to come back with his order and occupy the empty seat next to him. He wondered if the man would ever love him back.

The man looked up and caught eyes with Dream and smiled. He looked back down and Dreams phone dinged. Hey stranger.

Dream smiled and shot back a reply before being called to the cashier.

A tea with two sugars and a dash of milk.

A black coldbrew with mocha.

Dream sat down, noting how George took the tea greatfully and absorbed the warmth of the drink and displayed it in his smile. "Thank you."
