Chapter 1

ASHLEY’S POV

"Would you stop playing with my hair?" I said habang nagrereklamo kay Blake. I sighed.

Here we go, again.

"Whatever, ugly. I'll play with your hair whenever I want to. Got it?" he said and  pulled my hair for the last time and he's gone.

I sighed. I'm used to that scene. I don't have a choice, I need to work on him, well, at her mom's Restaurant, for the sake of my little brother's future.

"Hey there, nerd!" I rolled my eyes before I faced the person who like to call me, 'Nerd'

It's Jasmine, the campus beauty queen.

She's pretty, sexy and... nevermind, I don't want to talk about her attitude.

"What?" I murmured. I really need to go. Austin is sick and he's alone in our apartment.

"Finish my assignment and I need it tomorrow. Got it?" She said and placed the papers and notebooks infront of me.

"Okay." I nod then she lend me money.

"Thank you, nerd."

She said and walk out at the room. I sighed and grab the papers and notebooks and headed at the school exit.

"Ugly!"

Napabuga ako ng hangin bago ko harapin ang tumawag sa akin.

"What?"

"Where are you going?" He asked at lumapit sa akin.

"Home."

"Why? It's too early. Let's have some fun first." he said and grabbed my hand.

"Nevermind. I need to go." I said at kumawala sa pagkahawak nya. Iniwan ko na sya do'n na nakatingin lang sa akin.

Pumara na ako ng jeep at umuwi na sa apartment namin.

"Austin?" I called out as I opened the door.

"Ate Ashley?"

I scanned the room and found Austin at the bed."Hey, how are you?" I asked and caress his hair. It just the two of us, our parents died when I was 15 and Austin is 3 at that time.

"Hmmmm. Good." He said and smile.

"What do you want for dinner? I got my salary now." I smiled. Binigay na kasi ng mommy ni Blake and sahod ko this month which is good.

"Anything, Ate." he smiled.

"Okay. Nasa kusina lang ako."

"Sure, Ate."

He said and I headed to the kitchen.

By the way, I forgot, di pa ako nagpapakilala. My name is Ashley Riley Trinidad, 21 years old and taking the course of Tourism. I want to be a stewardess someday. But, would I pass on the test?

Sa height, Oo, pwede pa kasi 5'8 naman ako. May lahi kasi yung parents namin.

Sa katawan din, okay lang. Sexy naman ako, sabi ng kapatid ko. :3 Pero okay na rin 'to.

Sa mukha, pwede rin. Matangos ang ilong ko, blue eyes, mahabang at mapilantik na pilik-mata, pinkish lips at may arkong mga kilay. Kaso nga lang yung buhok at yung dating ko.

Ika nga ni Jasmine 'Nerd' o alam nyo na ang ibig sabihin nun? Nagsusuot ako ng Nerdy Glass pero walang sira ang mata ko. Eh sa trip ko eh! XD Di joke lang. Tinatago ko kasi ang mga mata ko baka pagdiskitahan nila at pagtripan ako. Sa buhok naman, ayun ang habaaaaaa! Joke. Hanggang balikat lang sya tapos kulot pa at minsan buhaghag pa.

I cooked a beef willington (Pansosyal yan) for our appetizer, crème Brule for our dessert and it was just a joke.

Seriously, I just cooked a pinakbet and our dessert is imaginary cake! Nagsaing na rin ako kanin.

"Ate?" I turned around and saw Austin holding his teddy bear. It was a gift that mom gave to him. It's the only memory from our mom.

"Yes?"

"Pwede na po ba akong pumasok bukas?"

"Hmmmm. Maybe."

"Why 'maybe'?" He asked and took a seat.

"Maybe because, okay ka na ba? Kaya na ba? Malakas ka na ba? Game ka na ba?"

"Game na!"

We chuckled. "Really? My answer is NO."

I sighed when he frowned. "Austin, you're still weak. Please listen to ate naman oh. I want the best for you, Austin. That's why, I'm doing this. It is for your

own good."

"What about you, Ate?"

“Uhmmm. I'm good." Napangiwi ako sa sagot ko.

Yeah. What about me?

 I sighed.

Kaya pa naman. I can do this!

 

"Okay! Don't go away. I'll just prepare our dinner." I said and smile.

"Si." (Yes)

I placed the Pinakbet and rice at the table.

"Hmmmm. Taste like delicious, Ate!"

"Really? Gracias."

Di na sya sumagot at nagsandok na ng pagkain.

"Austin?"

"Hmmm?" He answered while chewing his food.

"One day, Austin. We're going to live in a house that looks like a palace. With a lots of food\, clothes and many more." I smile.

"May naipon na kasi akong pera at pag nakapagtrabaho na ako sa malaking kompanya makakaahon na tayo." I smile.

"Really?"

He asked while having that big smile.

"Yes. And a day after tomorrow is our graduation."

"Wooow! Great!" He said while clapping his hands. 

"I want you to be there, Austin. Would you take my invitation?"

"Of course! I want to, Ate!" He screeched.

I laughed.

"Okay, okay. Calm down. But, you need to wake up early for that day."

"Si!"

"Good. Let's eat." I smile and eat our foods.
