"Sleeping beauty!"
"Nick?..." Ellie asked not happy at all by her boyfriend waking her up.
"Wake up El, you have an appointment."
"Where?" she asked falling back asleep.
"The gynecologist. Come on we're gonna be late."
"Mmmhh."
"El, you okay?"
He knew she was never this hard to wake up.
"No..." she said tossing in their bed.
"What's up? Are you feeling ill?"
"I think I have a fever...."
He touched her forehead.
"Yeah, you defenitly have one. Let me cancel the gynecologist and book an appointment for your doctor."
"No, I can go to both." she said sitting up.
"If you say so." he said coming back in with a thermometer. "103.6"
"That's why I'm feeling off."
"Yeah."
Nick drove her to her first appointment. It went well and they were on their way to the doctor for the fever.
"I'm gonna call Gibbs, I won't come in at all today."
"Yeah, wise decision."
'Gibbs. Yeah I have a fever. I won't be able to come in today. I'm on my way to the doctor. Yeah Torres will come in right after he drop me off. Thank you. Bye.'
"He expects you back as soon as you can."
"Yeah, I guessed. Sometimes I hate being a federal agent. Like you know, criminals don't wait. But today I want to stay with you. But we can't 'cause America can't wait. Right?"
No response.
"El?" he said turning his head around just to see her unconscious.
She wasn't sleeping and he knew that.
"ELLIE!"
He turned the car around and drove to the nearest hospital.
"Help! Please help her!" Nick pleaded carrying Ellie inside the emergency room.
"What happened?" asked a nurse.
"She had a fever and passed out. I can't wake her up. Please help her." Nick explained crying.
"Okay. I'm gonna need you to tell me all her medical past."
He followed her and explained everything he knew she's been through.
Then Gibbs called him.
And he explained.
'I'm on my way.' Gibbs said hanging up.
Gibbs arrived. Nick was still waiting.
"She'll be okay."
The doctor came back.
"Eleanor had a virus. She got it through a cut, probably during her kidnapping.
"Did you get it out of her? Is she okay?" asked Nick.
"I'm sorry... The virus took place in her heart. It stopped beating. I'm sorry for your loss."
Nick turned around and stumbled his way outside.
"Nick!" called Gibbs.
"It was just a fever. It was just- a fever..." he said crying.
He fell on his knees.
"IT WAS JUST A FEVER! HE KILLED HER! HE TOOK HER FROM ME! EVEN WHEN HE'S DEAD HE KILLS MY FAMILY!" Nick screamed in the arms of his boss.
"I know. I know..."
"It was just a fever..." he whispered.

Gibbs called everyone. Starting with her family in Oklahoma. Then her family in D.C.
Everyone lost a piece of them.
The Bishop's lost their daughter, sister, aunt.
McGee lost his sister.
Jimmy lost his sister.
Kasie lost her best friend.
Jack lost her best friend.
Gibbs lost his daughter.
And Nick...
Nick lost his best friend.
His soul mate.
His savior.
The love of his life.
And a part of himself.
The biggest part of himself.
Days, weeks, months after her death didn't exist for him.
Everyday was the same.
Everyone was quiet.
Like the sun never rised again.
Well, it never did.
Because Ellie was the sun.
It's even written. In the grave yard, on her grave.

A/N This is the end! I'm so sorry for not uploading more frequently.
The next fanfic will be a crossover between the mcu and NCIS, but I don't know when it'll be up because it's not done at all, and I'm taking a break because I have a few important tests and mental health issues.
I love you people thank you for the support!!
