My Hero (A Liam Payne Fanfic)

Chapter 9

(This is a long chapter)

Natalie's POV

I was waiting for my friends to arrive so we could talk about where me and my brother would go after this week. I made Jack a turkey sandwich for lunch and put on Disney Jr. for him. I told Jack my friends would come over and that he should be on his best behavior. 'God I sound like his mother more than his sister'  I thought. Then again, I was like the Mom to Jack that he didn't have for 3 years. But we soon would have our real mother back. But when we did go to Pennsylvania I would have to leave my best friends behind and I'd miss them so much. I'd also miss Liam too. But he probably won't miss me and find a girlfriend, who of course wouldn't be me-even though I want it to be.

When I heard a knock on the door I knew it was my friends. I turned off the TV and opened the door. I saw Lisa but was surprised to see Niall next to her holding hand. And behind them was Rose, Carly, and Victoria holding hands with Harry, Zayn, and Louis. Behind them was Liam Payne-the Liam Payne that I love who moved from Wolverhampton years ago. I was trying my best not to scream 'Liam James Payne is right at my door!' But Liam's probably thinking other things like 'Why is Natalie at this hotel? Where are her parents? Is that little boy her son? Does she have a boyfriend who got her pregnant?

"Um, Natalie can we come in?" Lisa asked, bringing me out of my thoughts. "Lisa I think I need glasses. Why do I see Niall, Harry, Zayn, Louis, and Liam at my door?" "You don't need glasses Natalie. We really are here" Harry said and they all came in. "Liam are you sure you want to be here?" I asked him trying to sound casual. Maybe he was just here because his friends were. "Yes Natalie. I definitely want to be here" Liam told me. The way he looked at me. Liam was definitely thinking something about me but what?

I saw that my friends had boyfriends now. I was so happy for them. The boys they loved, loved them back. Liam was the only one who didn't have a girlfriend. He was sitting on the couch in between Harry and Zayn who had Rose and Carly on their laps. Harry and Rose were giggling together and Harry put Rose's ponytail over her shoulder and in return she pushed a strand of his curly brown hair behind his ear. They looked into eachother's eyes then kissed. I wish with all my heart for that be me and Liam. But that's not gonna happen since Liam already thinks I'm a teen mom.

"Natalie what happened to your wrists?" Lisa asked. Shit! I forgot to put on my bracelets. "Well I um. . .I fell in a pricker bush" I lied. But Lisa who knows me so well can see that I'm lying. "Natalie can I talk to you alone?" she asked. "Sure" I said and we went into the bathroom and shut the door. "Natalie I know those scars aren't from a pricker bush. Where are they really from?" she asked. I couldn't lie anymore. I had to tell Lisa about my cutting. "Well Lisa I made these scars on purpose. You see I couldn't handle my Dad's constant abuse and the bullying I got from Amber, Jason, and Nathan. I don't know why but cutting seemed to help me deal with the stress. But I didn't want the world to know about my home life so that's why you've always seen me wearing silver bracelets or long sleeves" I told her. I saw that Lisa was in shock but finally she asked "Natalie why didn't you tell me or the other girls about this?" "Well I didn't want you guys to think I was weird, gross, or stupid" I answered. "Natalie Rosemary we would never stop being your friend just because of your cutting" she told me. "I'm grateful for that" I said. "But Natalie promise me you'll tell Victoria, Carly, and Rose about this. They have a right to know" Lisa told me. "I promise" I told her and I really will tell them. When we went back into the living room I saw that my friends and the boys were playing with Jack. "Your little brother is so cute Natalie" Harry told me. One of my friends must have told them that Jack is my brother. At least now Liam won't think I'm a teen mom.

Then Liam got up and told me "Natalie I want to talk to you alone". 'What does he want to tell me? I wondered. "We could talk in the bedroom" I suggested. (Don't think sexually about this) When we went into the bedroom Liam shut the door and went very close to me. Usually I mind having personal space but because it was Liam, I didn't give a fuck.
