My Hero (A Liam Payne Fanfic)

Chapter 20

Natalie's POV

I just stood there speechless. I couldn't believe what I just heard. Liam wanted me to be with him for the rest of his life and I of course wanted that too. "Is that even a question Liam? Cause my answer is Yes! Yes of course I will!" I told him. Liam slid the ring onto my ring finger on my right hand. I looked down at it and it was beautiful. It was silver with a tiny pinkish white crystal in the center. Liam then got up on his feet and gave me a light kiss on the nose. "This ring is beautiful Liam and I love it but I hope you didn't spend a lot of money on this. I don't care if this crystal is real or not, I'd prefer this ring over all the ones made of real gold with real diamonds" I told him. "It may have been a little expensive but it was worth it. To me, it was the perfect ring to put on you and the saleswoman thought the same thing" Liam told me and I responded with "Well you were both right. It is perfect. Just as perfect as you Liam".

Then I had an idea "We have to call my parents and tell them!" "They already know Natalie. I asked them first before I took you out on this date and they approved" Liam told me. "So they're waiting for me to come home all excited telling them?" I asked. "Yeah but you can call your friends to tell them" Liam told me. "OK. I'll do it later. Right now let's enjoy our time together" I said. We kept walking down the beach, looking at the view, talking, and kissing. When night came, it got a little chilly and Liam gave me his flannel to put over my shoulders. Liam drove me to my apartment and made sure I got in safely before leaving. Once I got in, I was greeted by my golden retriever Milo and calico cat Tiger as usual. Milo jumped up and licked me and Tiger came up to me and purred. When I put my hand down to pet them both, my ring caught their eyes. Milo began to sniff it and Tiger tried to get the tiny crystal. "That's right you 2. Momma's getting married! And you'll soon be living in a different house with me and Liam" I told them. Milo and Tiger loved Liam and would be happy to share a home with him.

I changed into comfy pajamas then immediately called my friends to tell them my news. They were all so excited and screaming with me on the phone. But I found out that Harry, Niall, Louis, and Zayn also knew before I did that Liam was proposing because Liam also told them. But they still congratulated me when I called them. Somehow they were able to keep it from their wives. After talking with all of them I took a picture of my hand with the ring on it and posted the picture on all my social medias while also saying who I was engaged to. My online friends and relatives immediately all liked and favorited my picture and wrote comments congratulating me. And even though my parents knew Liam proposed I still called them. Mom, Dad, and Jack were all on speaker and I told them. They, of course said "Congratulations Natalie", "Can't believe our daughter is going to be married soon", and "I always knew Liam was the one for my big sister".

As time went on, me and Liam began to plan our wedding and look for a house. We decided to have the wedding on June 11th and invited a decent amount of people. Of course I picked Rose, Lisa, Victoria, and Carly to be my bridesmaids and Liam picked Harry, Louis, and Zayn to be his groomsmen. He had picked Niall to be his best man-which Liam said was a hard decision because he loves all his friends equally. But Harry, Louis, and Zayn didn't mind at all that Liam didn't pick them. We decided my 5 year old cousin Chloe would be the flower girl and Liam chose his nephew Jaxon to be the ring bearer. The hardest part for me was choosing my maid of honor. I can't decide between my friends cause I love them all. When I explained my problem to them, they told me they wouldn't care who I chose and would be happy for whoever I picked. After lots of thinking I finally decided that Rose would be my maid of honor. My Mom and friends went with me when I had to pick our my bride dress. We went to David's Bridal and I tried on lots of dresses that I could afford. After an hour, I decided on a pretty, strapless lacey white dress with a veil that didn't cover my face but went down my hair, past my ass, and trailed a little behind me. The saleswoman, my Mom, and my friends all loved the dress and thought it was perfect on me. Liam also went to David's Bridal later with his friends and Dad to buy his tuxedo. We agreed to surprise eachother so we wouldn't see how we looked in then until the wedding. For my bridesmaids and maid of honor, I decided to have them wear comfortable strapless pink dresses that went to their mid thighs and have white and pink flower crowns on their heads side I've always liked flower crowns. Also Lisa had made an exciting announcement to us that she was pregnant and was starting to show, so I made sure to find an identical comfortable dress for her. We also found a great photographer and even though he wasn't cheap, it was worth it because the photographer is what you want to spend money on, so you will have  great wedding pictures to look back on later. Me and Liam also found the perfect house after a month of searching and 2 months later, had enough money to pay for it and we moved in.
