My Hero (A Liam Payne Fanfic)

Chapter 5

(This is a long one so you might wanna get comfortable)

Natalie's POV

When my alarm clock rang, I groaned. Time for school shit again  I thought. I was super tired and didn't want to get out of bed. But I had to get ready now so I wouldn't be late. I got out of bed and opened my closet and drawers. What should I wear today? I thought. I looked at my phone for the weather and it said today would be in the late 50's. I decided to wear a silky purple tank top, a black infinity scarf, skinny jeans, and black and white converse. After putting my clothes and bracelets on, I put on deoderant. Then I went into the bathroom to brush my hair and do my makeup.

I went downstairs and ate a granola bar. I usually eat quick, light breakfasts like granola bars, yogurt, or fruit. Then I went back upstairs to wake up Jack and dress him for school. My Dad and I made a deal that in the morning, I'd wake Jack and get him ready for school and Dad would make sure Jack got on his bus.

After I dressed Jack and combed his hair, I brushed my teeth and grabbed my one-shoulder bag that I use for school. Then I headed out the door and walked to school. I would've drove since I have my license but Dad absolutely forbids me to use one of his 2 cars and I don't even want want to think about what abuse he would give me if I did.  Once I got into school I raced to my locker, grabbed my stuff for homeroom, and walked to homeroom. Luckily Amber, Jason, and Nathan don't sit near me in homeroom but still talked shit about me. Once I sat down Amber whispered something to Jason, who whispered it to Nathan and soon all 3 of them were laughing. I just pretend I don't notice them and pretend to pay attention to the boring lesson the teacher was teaching.

As usual, all the classes were slow and boring. I was relieved to get to lunch. I went to my usual table with my 4 best friends-Victoria, Carly, Rose, and Lisa. We are good friends and know almost everything about eachother. Victoria, Carly, Rose, and Lisa are my only friends and the only people besides my little brother who know about the daily abuse I get from my Dad. I've made them all promise not to tell anyone and they've kept that promise.

My friends are also the only people that know about my longtime crush on Liam. They also have crushes on his friends. Rose has a crush on Harry, Lisa has a crush on Niall, Victoria has a crush on Louis, and Carly has a crush on Zayn. My 4 friends are also so pretty but they don't think so. They say I'm pretty, but I'm the ugly one in our group.

"Liam looks so gorgeous today" I told them. "So does Harry" Rose said, flipping her pretty strawberry blonde hair over her shoulder. "Even in his sweatpants and sneakers, Niall looks so hot today" Lisa said. "Zayn also looks gorgeous today" Carly said. "Louis does too" Victoria added. Then our table was called up to get lunch. I went to get a sub while Victoria got pizza, Lisa got a hamburger, Carly got a hot dog, and Rose got a salad. After getting our food, we went back to our table.

"Natalie if your able to, can you come shopping with me after school? I need new sneakers and a new infinity scarf" Rose told me. "But Rose you already have lots of nice clothes and shoes" I reminded her, while eating. "But my sneakers are getting too small for me" Rose said. "Your crazy but alright I'll go. I just have to make sure my Dad's let's me"  I told her. Rose always comes up with some excuse whenever she wants to go shopping or when we remind her she's got lots of nice clothes. Rose is a shopaholic and loves buying new stuff. Even if she says "I'm just going to buy this" she always ends up buying more than she says. I just know that when we go shopping later, Rose will buy more than just sneakers and an infinity scarf.

After 20 minutes of talking and eating, lunch was over and the rest of the day dragged on. When the last class was over I raced to my locker, filled my bag, and began walking home. I hope Dad will let me go shopping with Rose. Usually he does let me go places but I have to be back at 10. If he does'nt let me go, it's because he'll want me to care for Jack, clean the house or some other shit. I also reminded myself to bring some money. Maybe I'll see something at the mall that I want.
