Chapter 16

Natalie's POV

"Natalie?" My Mom responded back and then we both just lost it. We ran as fast as our legs could carry us to eachother and hugged for what felt like eternity. How I missed my Mom's hugs that made me feel loved and safe. "You're so grown up and pretty" she told me at last. "Thanks Mom. You look nice too" I told her. My Mom looked a little bit different from the last time I saw her 5 years ago. She shed away all those pounds of baby fat that were leftover from me and Jack's pregnancies and her hair had grown down to her ass and some light brown highlights were added to her blonde hair that was just like mine. But even with these differences she still looked like my Mom. "Thank you Natalie" Mom told me. "Mommy?" Jack said, walking up to us and looking up at Mom. Her attention went to Jack then she looked at me and asked "Is this Jack? How old is he?" "He's 5 years old Mom" I told her. "Oh Jack. I've missed you so much!" Mom told him while crying and hugging him hard. He hugged back. "I missed you too Mommy" Jack told her.

I looked up and saw the man who had been standing next to my Mom the whole time that I hadn't even noticed. After a while Mom and Jack stopped hugging and she went over to the man who put his arm on her shoulder. "Natalie, Jack I want you to meet Thomas my boyfriend" she told us. "Boyfriend?" Me and Jack said at the same time. I had so many questions I wanted to ask her. But that could wait for another time when we were alone. Now all my friends and Liam were crowded around us, talking to my Mom. They all introduced themselves and Mom and Liam were talking for quite a while. She glanced over at me and smiled.

Then 2 officers came over to us and asked to speak with me and my Mom. They told us that my father would be locked up for a while. Mom informed them of everything that happened since she left him and then they left. We were also told that we would have to go to court so we could testify against my father and so my Mom could get full custody of me and Jack. We would also need witnesses of his abuse to appear in court to help fight the case. We agreed to go and the police gave us numbers to call so we get good lawyers to help us.

All my friends and Liam had left at this point, leaving me and my brother alone with our Mom and her new boyfriend. "Come on you two. Let's go home. Me and Thomas can't wait to talk to you". Mom told us. Me and Jack looked at her with confusion. What home? "Are we moving to Pennsylvania with you?" I asked. "No Natalie. We are all going to live on our old home. And it will be just like old times" she told us.

Sorry if this chapter was a bit boring but I wanted to upload something before Christmas. I haven't been updating cause I've been busy with school and shit. But I will try to update more. Merry Christmas and Happy birthday Louis!
