Chapter 6

Natalie's POV

When I woke up it was noon. The first thing I had to do was call my friends and tell them what was going on and what I was planning to do. Since it was noon they were in lunch now so I could call them without getting them in trouble. I called Rose who put me on speaker with Lisa, Victoria, and Carly. Luckily they all understood and told me they would tell the school I was sick and that they would all come over after school.

After I hung up, I realized I needed to get food for myself and Jack that will last us a week. I changed into a pink shirt and short jean shorts. I also brushed my teeth and put on deodorant. Then I brushed my hair and put it in a messy bun. I counted all the money I had and it was a total of $330! This should be enough to help me and Jack get to Pennsylvania. I looked at Jack. He was still sound asleep. I decided to quickly go to the grocery store across the street. I put on my flip-flops and grabbed some money. I decided to write Jack a note in case he woke up so he wouldn't freak out if I wasn't there. I grabbed a piece of paper and a pen and wrote Jack I went to the grocery store across the street. I won't be gone long. Don't worry, the doors are locked. Your safe. Love, Natalie. I stuck the note on the dresser next to the bed. Then I went to the grocery store and bought lots of food that would last us for a week.

When I came back and unlocked our door I saw Jack awake in his pajamas. "Did you see the note?" I asked him. "Yes Naty. Did you buy breakfast?" Jack responded. "I did" I told Jack. I fed him a bowl of his favorite cereal and I ate a chocolate pop tart. Then I dressed Jack for the day and combed his hair.

After I got Jack ready my phone made a chirping noise which meant I got a text. I went to my messages and was frightened because it was from Dad. It read I know you left me and took Jack with you, you little bitch! How will you horrible children survive without me? I provided you with a home, food, and clothes-Oh Yeah I forgot (sarcasm) You stole all my money! I'll find both of you before you even reach Pennsylvania! I was so frightened by that text that I dropped my phone and would've cracked the screen but luckily I have a protective screen over it. I knew that if Dad found me he'd kill me-no doubt about that. He'd kill me then he would kill Jack next and I didn't want to put his life at risk. I looked at the time. It was 2:00. Soon my friends would be here and we would figure something out about what I would do after this week.

Rose's POV

I was in lunch with Lisa, Carly, and Victoria. We were talking about ways to help Natalie get to Pennsylvania so she can be reunited with her Mom. "I'm glad Natalie made the decision of leaving her horrible father with her cute little brother" Carly said. "Me too. They deserve to live with someone better-someone like her Mom" Lisa said.

We had all been to Natalie's house and seen the horrible, abusive side of her father. It hurt us seeing our friend and her adorable little brother being hurt like that. We tried to call the police about this but Natalie didn't want us too and she made us promise not to. Since we wanted to be good friends, we didn't call anyone. Her Dad never abused us though, since we were her friends. Even though we never met her Mom, we heard how Natalie described her and even showed us a picture of her. From what Natalie had told us she seemed like the most sweetest and caring Mom ever and way better than her Dad.

"Natalie is only paying for one week to stay at that hotel. After that's over she'll have no where to go" Victoria said. "I know. She can stay at our houses-at least until school is over. There's only a few more weeks left. When summer vacation starts she can continue driving until she gets to Pennsylvania" I explained to my friends. "But what about our parents? We'll have to tell them what's going on since they live in our houses. Once they hear about what has happened to Natalie they'll definitely call the police" Carly said. "Don't worry Carly. They won't call the police if Natalie makes them promise not to-especially my parents. They're true to their words when it comes to serious problems or promises" Lisa said. "Well then Lisa would you mind if Natalie and Jack stay at your house for a while? We'll figure something else out later when we go to see Natalie after school" I asked. "Of course I don't mind. I'd do anything for one of my best friends-especially if it's this serious" Lisa answered.

I just stared over at the table where Harry sat with his friends. Damn, was he hot and sexy with his brown curly hair, gorgeous turquoise eyes, skinny and muscular body, and his caring, kind, funny, and sweet personality. He also looked so gorgeous today in a white shirt, black skinny jeans, and black boots. Then I thought I saw Harry staring at me. 'No impossible' I thought. Boys never paid any attention to me or thought of me as pretty. I didn't even try to look good today. I was wearing my new pink tank top, short black shorts, my new rainbow flip-flops, and my hair was up in a high ponytail.

Liam's POV

"Hello? Earth to Harry" I said as I waved my hand in front of his face. He was daydreaming about something and I think I knew what. Soon he snapped out of it. "Sorry but I couldn't help staring at the beauty over there" Harry told us. Me, Niall, Louis, and Zayn knew who he was talking about-Rose, one of Natalie's friends. Harry has had a major crush on her ever since she was in one of his 6th grade classes. The other boys have crushes on her other friends. Niall has a crush on Lisa, Louis has a crush on Victoria, and Zayn has a crush on Carly. So we're all basically in love with that group of girls. We all hate seeing the ignorant guys in our school bullying them and all the girls who are sluts and whores tell them they're ugly, fat, weird, don't wear enough makeup, or some other shit that's not true.

"I wonder where Natalie is today?" Niall asked. "I don't know but I heard them talking about seeing her after school. I don't know about you guys but I'm finally going to go with them and confess my feelings for Natalie" I told the boys. "Liam are you serious? You've kept your feelings for Natalie a secret for 5 years and your always saying your afraid of her rejecting you" Zayn said. "Well I think its time for me to get over my fear of rejection and finally tell the girl of my dreams how badly I've wanted her" I told Zayn.

"Well I'll go with you. Might as well confess my feelings for Rose" Harry said. "I'm coming too. Victoria isn't leaving this school without knowing how I've felt about her" Louis added. "I'm in. I just can't hide my feelings for Lisa any longer" Niall said. "I guess I'll go too. It's one of my goals to someday confess my feelings for Carly" Zayn added. "Remember guys-no chickening out this time! Its finally time to confess our feelings to our girls that we've been hiding ever since 5th grade and 6th grade" I told them. We couldn't believe it! Today we would finally find out if our girls felt the same way about us as we do about them. There was no turning back
now-even though we were all afraid of rejection.

Oooh! What's gonna happen next? JK! I already know what's going to happen next-I'm writing this story! The next 2 chapters will probably be coming this week or next week.
