Spluttering, I head for shore,
Gasping, grasping anything,
Everything.
Endless blue dragged, grabbed for me
oh, how I've missed skies like these. It had been so long since I've been out,
So long since—Stop.
No.
Not right now.
But try as I might, I do.Soft lips meeting my nervous ones,
The arms that hugged, sheltering me of the world's evil.
I welcome the memories that breached my mind, embrace them in a weeping joy,
that was all I had left.
He was all I had left—Cold hands, feeding warmth into my chest,
A glowing admiration shown upon his face, desperate to know if I knew.
I knew, love,
I knew it all along...Lying on the hot sand,
Nostalgia settles in my head,
along with the ever-growing weight of sadness that fills my heart.Though I wasn't in the water of the horizon,
I could never really stop myself from drowning.
