8 - Awaken, My Dearest Ranboo

Ranboo sat up and screamed. Not very loud, but still loud enough to be classified as a scream.

His heart was racing faster than his mind.

What the heck was that?!

He felt sick. Ranboo looked at his clock and almost fell over.

"9:15am?! Oh no..." He hopped out of his bed and quickly put his clothes on. A black long-sleeved shirt and blue jeans.

He ran down the stairs and packed his backpack. He put on his black and white running shoes and sprinted out the door.

-At School-

The bus had already left so Ranboo had to run to school. By the time he reached the building, it was already past first period. He was out of breath from running so far for so long.

Gosh... I need to speak to Eret... late on my first day? Oh man...

He jogged the rest of the way to the school and stepped inside. The halls were empty. He sighed and went to Eret's office.

-Eret's office-

"H... hello?"

Eret turned around to see Ranboo. He smiled and gestured for him to go over to the desk.

"Hey Ranboo!" Eret said cheerfully.

Ranboo smiled slightly. He didn't want to admit why-

"Overslept I'm guessing? Don't worry, I've done it too."

Ranboo was shocked.

"How... how did you know?" He asked Eret.

Eret tilted his head and laughed.

"It's normal for students. I don't really mind to be honest. Plus, it's the second day of school. You think you're getting in trouble for something that can be uncontrollable?" Eret laughed again.

Ranboo was relieved. He thanked Eret for being so forgiving and went to his next class.

-In the English classroom-

Ranboo walked in a few minutes earlier than the other students. Phil was sitting at his desk reading a few papers. He glanced up at Ranboo.

"Hi." Was all he said.

"Hello sir." Ranboo replied quietly.

Ranboo noticed that there were now desks in the room. He sat in one of the chairs by the back and yawned. He laid his head on his arms and closed his eyes.

Oh man... what the heck was that dream?

Students began entering the classroom and sitting down. Eventually, Tommy, Toby, and Charlie entered the classroom. When Toby saw Ranboo his eyes lit up. He ran over to Ranboo and hugged him. Ranboo was a bit surprised by this sudden affection.

"Hey Toby. Uh... how are you?" Ranboo asked.

"So much better! I thought I had imagined you're existence!" He looked up at Ranboo with watery eyes. Tommy and Charlie began laughing.

Toby let go of Ranboo and sat down beside him. Tommy sat on the other side of Toby and Charlie sat next to Tommy. Together, they took up the whole back row.

Phil stood up and scanned the class with his eyes. He sighed and waited for the last few people to sit down. After a while, he walked to the front of the classroom.

"So, second day. I... I didn't really plan a lesson to be honest so just... do whatever I guess." Phil monotoned to the class.

He sat down again and conversations began. The four at the back all talked about random things.

Ranboo remembered what he had wanted to ask them.

"Hey do you guys have discord?" He questioned.

"Yeah, that's how me and Toby communicate because my mum won't let me what a phone." Tommy replied. Toby nodded.

"I also have discord. Hey, let's all add each other!" Charlie said excitedly.

After second period ended, they lined up and went to their next class. Their next class was really just figuring out where the extra classes were.

"So I'm going to guess that the art class is going to be in the art room, the music class is going to be in the music room, and the cooking class is going to be in the kitchen!" Tommy exclaimed.

The others laughed and kept walking eventually, they found another big group in the hall. Eret was standing at the front of the group.

Eret sure does a lot doesn't he?

They walked up behind the group and waited for Eret to show them where everything was.

"Alright, alright. I belive that everyone is here, so we will go see where the extra classes are." Eret announced. The students nodded and Eret smiled.

They began walking to each classroom. The art room, the music room, the library, and finally, the kitchen. Eret didn't open any of the doors to introduce the teachers though, which seemed a bit strange at first, but later they were told that none of the teachers were in the school at the moment.

Once they returned to the hall they started in, the bell rang for lunch. Eret dismissed them while he was looking at a few papers.

As they were leaving Ranboo looked back at Eret, but his expression changed. Ranboo was confused.

Why... why is he suddenly frowning? What did he...

Almost as quickly as Ranboo could think, Eret went back to normal. He went back to his office in silence. Ranboo brushed it off as him being confused about something, and ran to catch up with his friends. They were almost to the cafeteria, and he didn't want to be left behind.
