The four friends walked to class still silent. Tommy had seen Toby and Ranboo reading and their expressions change so he decided not to try and change the mood. Charlie was better at that than him anyways.
"So what do we have after lunch?" Charlie asked.
"I don't know." Toby replied.
Tommy looked shocked at how monotoned Toby sounded. He had never heard him this dead sounding. He wondered if this is how Toby had felt yesterday when the whole ordeal with Tommy happened.
Did I just think about myself in the third person?
They kept walking until they got to the cafeteria. Once they had arrived, Charlie told them that he was going to the bathroom. He left the three of them standing by the doors to the cafeteria.
"So... are we gonna go in or..." Tommy trailed off.
They still just stood there in silence. Tommy still wasn't sure how to break the tension.
The three of them went to a table and sat down. Still, none of them spoke. Ranboo pulled put his lunch and just stared at it. Toby looked away. Tommy put his lunch on the table and began eating. He didn't look at anyone around him, he just ate in silence.
So... much... silence...
He zoned out and kept eating.
-With Scott-
"Ma'am, are you alright?"
Scott's homeroom teacher stared him in the face with a look of rage in her eyes. They were standing in the hallway by Eret's office. According to some random student in the hall, she had called him to the office for what he had said the first day of school.
"Ugh... you're going to be punished boy, and you won't have a chance to speak for it! You've wronged me and offended me in so many ways, you sure will regret it!" She yelled.
Scott smirked at her remarks and waited in silence. After a few more minutes, the teacher knocked on the door again. Eret opened it and let them inside.
"Hello Miss Devial and Smajor! What seems to be the issue?" Eret asked politely.
Miss Devial almost lost it when Eret called Scott Smajor, but she kept her cool.
As if she even has any!
"Ah yes, I have come because Scott has caused quite a bit of trouble in my classroom." She sneered.
Eret tilted his head in confusion.
"Well what did he do?" Eret asked again.
Miss Devial crossed her arms.
"He told me something very offensive after I politely asked him why he wanted to be called Will!" She over exaggerated.
Eret nodded as though he was thinking.
"And what's your side of the story Will?" He questioned.
Wilbur looked over at his homeroom teacher and sighed. He knew exactly what he would say.
"Right... I mean no disrespect ma'am but that's not what the other witnesses would say about this." Wilbur spoke calmly.
Her eyes darted in his direction.
"Here's what I belive I witnessed. Miss Devial asked me to introduce myself, so I did. I introduced myself as Wilbur, and told the class that they could just call me Will for short. She then yelled at me saying that could only be called Wilbur because that was my given name. She also did the same that morning with my friend Tommy. He introduced himself as Thomas, something I didn't think that he would do to be honest, and told the class to call him Tommy. She yelled at him for the same reason." Wilbur finished.
Eret looked slightly shocked. He shook his head and turned his gaze back to Miss Devial.
"Is this true?" He asked her.
She looked like she was about to explode.
"No! Of course not! I would never yell at a student!" She used a fake victim voice.
Eret sighed and turned away. He thought for a while before turning back to them.
"Okay... okay, so... ma'am, why can't they shorten their names?" Eret asked.
Miss Devial rolled her eyes.
"Because, if his name is Wilbur he should be called Wilbur! You can't just pretend that your name is Will or whatever! Just like how you can't change your gender! If you're born a boy, you're a boy! If you're born a girl, you're a girl! And there's no "non-binary" or whatever they call if. There's boy or girl and no in between!" She ranted.
Eret stood in silence. Wilbur was even scared of what he was about to do.
"And what's your opinion on the LGBTQ+ community?" Eret questioned calmly.
"They're disgusting! None of them can go to heaven no matter what they do in their life! Haven't they heard of the Bible?! It's Adam and Eve not Adam and Steve! How can they-"
"You're fired." Eret told her.
She stopped in her speech and stared at him, shocked.
"P... pardon?" She stuttered.
"Get the hell out of this school. Never. Come. Back." Eret demanded.
"Wh... why?!" She requested.
Eret stared at her dead in the eyes.
"As a bisexual and gender fluid person, I feel extremely offended. Even if I was straight and male, I would remove you from your position as soon as I could. Now. Get. Out." Eret commanded.
She scrambled put the door and left the school. She didn't even take any items from her classroom.
Wilbur looked back at Eret. Even Wilbur was scared. He had never seen Eret this angry before. It was... scary.
"You are excused Will, and tell Tommy that she's gone when you see him next please." Eret walked back to his desk.
"Y- yes sir- ma'am- uh... I will." Wilbur trembled.
He left Eret's office and closed the door behind him. He speed walked his way to the cafeteria. Once he had arrived, he sat down and ate his lunch as fast as possible. Not too long after he finished, the bell rang for next class. He stood up and went to the classroom.
Okay... note to self. Don't. Make. Eret. Mad. Gosh that was scary!
