Toby sat down beside his best friend, exhausted. Gym was truly doing a number on him, and forgetting to pack a lunch was definitely not helping.
"My god, bossman... I'm not feeling too good." He groaned, lying backwards dramatically.
Tommy turned to face him. They stared into each other's eyes before erupting into laughter. Other students glanced at them, confused and annoyed. The two of them quickly quieted to let them avert their gazes before quietly giggling to themselves.
"I don't know how you manage to draw attention to us every conversation we have, bee boy."
"Ex-CUSE ME? I am NOT the one who passed out during class." Toby turned his head away dramatically as Tommy gasped.
"I. Cannot. Be-LEIEVE you would SAY that!"
The two of them kept pretend-arguing for a long while before dissolving into laughter again.

"Ranboo" was sitting on the set of bleachers to the left of the duo. He watched as they interacted with one another, analyzing every movement, remembering every sentence. No one seemed to notice how strange he was acting, which was making his life much easier than he'd planned for.

"Ay, Ranboo!" Toby called, now staring at "Ranboo" just as much as he'd been staring at them. He glanced around the room before standing up and walking over to the other two.
"So... you got any plans for after school?" Toby asked. His smile was so innocent and genuine, making it hard for "Ranboo" to refuse. Before he could make up an excuse, Tommy interrupted.
"You should probably come over, you know. Toby's been going on and on about how much he misses hanging out with you-" He was stopped by Toby elbowing him in the stomach, which only caused him to be more dramatic than before.
Tommy and Toby continued playfully bickering, leaving "Ranboo" to be with his own thoughts again.

Lowering their head so they could only hear what the boys near him were saying, "Ranboo" analyzed their words carefully.
"I didn't even hurt you! You're being dramatic! ...right?"
"Oh, TOBY! The pure PAIN you caused me is so INTENSE it makes me... uh... what's a good word here?"
"I don't know man, that sentence wasn't really going anywhere."
"Says the kid with dyslexia."
"PARDON ME?!"
A strange low buzzing caused "Ranboo" to lose focus on what he was doing. He tried to open his eyes, which now felt as if they were glued shut.
N0... NO N0 PL3ASE...
The buzzing grew louder and more intense as XD tried to see the world again. Just one more glimpse of the light and colour was all he needed to be ready to return to his prison.

Complete darkness surrounded XD once more. The buzzing had stopped, but so had all the other noises. Noises that- though loud- felt incredibly refreshing to someone who had lived in total silence most of their life.
