George lied in his bed, staring at the ceiling. As song was playing in the background. One of his favorite songs. The lyrics always made him feel like he knew what was wrong. Like he knew what was missing from his life.

A b-

"George! Turn down the music! I'm trying to have a nice night with my boyfriend!" George's sister yelled at him while she pounded her fists on his door.

"Go away! You're gonna end up pounding him like you're doing to my door! I need something to drown that out!" George called back.

He heard a gasp from the other side of the door and laughter coming from the same direction. His door flew open to reveal his sister standing on the other side, fuming. Her boyfriend was rolling on the floor laughing harder than Clay ever had. Now THAT is something no one has ever been able to say.

"GEORGE! WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU?!" His sister screamed.

George shrugged and began giggling. He had never made his sister this mad before!

Achievement get! Make sister so mad that even her boyfriend can't hold in his laughter!

His sister stormed off leaving her boyfriend and George alone, still laughing. After a few more minutes, the two caught their breath and sat up properly.

"Oh man! You aren't as bad as she says you are! Gosh, that was so damn funny, man!" His sister's boyfriend admitted.

"Oh yeah? What does she say about me?" George raised an eyebrow in his direction and smirked.

He knew that she would have said something about him being "annoying" or "stupid" or "weird", yet he was still curious as to what she had said exactly. His sister's boyfriend stood up and walked over to George. He sat down beside him on his bed, his expression more solemn than before.

"She says she doesn't understand you. Something about the way you look at one of your friends. Nothing specific. Just that she doesn't understand. Can I... try something? Oh- and I don't think I've told you my name. It's Marcus." His sister's boyfriend spoke so fast that George couldn't comprehend what he had just said.

"Uh- I- yeah, sure..?" George replied slowly.

Marcus grabbed George's arm and made him stand up. The two stared at each other for a while before Marcus remembered to talk.

"Imagine me as... your best friend. Talk to me as though I am them." Marcus instructed him.

"Uh... okay." George said, creating the image that Marcus was Nick.

Nick stood before him with the same huge grin on his face that he always had. More animated, but still accurate nonetheless.

"Hey, Nick! I just figured out all of my problems! ... What do you mean you can't hang out after school? You're always free!" George blinked a couple of times before returning to reality.

Marcus nodded slowly and though for a while.

"Nothing too interesting there. You seemed pretty normal. Is there anyone you know who you act... different around?" Marcus asked.

"I guess so..." George told him.

"Pretend I'm them." Marcus tilted his head slightly sideways.

George inhaled slowly and though of the person. His "face" appeared in his mind and standing before George...

Was Clay.

"H- hi C- Cl- Clay..! I- I- I- I- I need some help with my homework... do you think y- y- you could help m- me?" George stuttered.

His face felt so hot that he could have just caught a fever. He was trembling so bad that even Marcus was concerned for him.

"George? Are you alri-"

"I'm seeing double..."

Marcus grabbed George and sat him down on his bed. The world was spinning around George as he heard Clay's voice echo in his head.

"George!"

George snapped out of whatever daydream he had begun to have and stared at Marcus.

"What's their name. Tell me their name." Marcus grabbed both of George's arms.

"Uh- I- I can't tell you..." George stammered.

I can't just tell him it's Clay... I don't know if he'd even accept it... I... I haven't even told Nick...

"Please, George. You know what, come to the mirror and look at yourself. Think of the person and look at yourself." Marcus instructed.

George shifted over to his desk. A mirror was attached to the back of it, like in a girl's room from most movies and shows. He stared at himself and began thinking of Clay...

"George? George~ George!"

Standing in front of him, was Clay. The mask giving him an ominous and mysterious look. His hair barely visible behind it.

"H- hi, Clay..." George flushed bright red.

"You kinda spaced out there. Are you okay?" Clay tilted his head and put a hand on George's shoulder.

George slowly nodded and tried not to smiled so stupidly.

Get a hold of yourself! It's just... Clay...

His eyes flew open as he remembered what he was supposed to be doing. When George realized what he looked like, he froze.

Oh... my...

His cheeks were bright red and his eyes starry and bright. George's head pounded with the thought that Clay might actually feel the same way he did. His heart felt tight in his chest. Clay. The one he liked was... Clay.

"His name is Clay. He's one of my best friends. I... I don't want you to tell my sister though. I don't know if she'd accept it..." George looked down as he finished speaking.

Marcus sighed and made his way over to George.

"You like him? You date guys?"

"N- no..? I've never dated a guy before. I... I've never really liked any of the girls I've dated though so..." George admitted.

Marcus smiled at him and grabbed his hand. The two of them went back to George's bed and sat down. For the next five or so minutes they just talked about each other's lives and George's sister.

"Isn't she straight? I don't think I am to be honest. I'm thinking bi or pan, although I prefer women."

"Huh, so I guess that's why you haven't judged me?"

"Do you know what allies are?"

George's sister entered the room and grabbed her boyfriend.

"You two should stop talking. Oh, and dinner's ready." His sister glanced at him.

"Okay. It was nice talking to you Marcus!" George smiled at his sister's boyfriend and waved as he was dragged away.

Marcus waved back. George stood up and began speed walking down the stairs. Him and his family ate dinner and talked about their day. No one acknowledged George's blushing, or the fact that he was barely paying attention to the conversation.

I should tell Nick about this. If anyone should ever know, it should be him.
