Jennie scrolled her phone for nothing in particular, probably just to kill time. It has been ages since Lisa and her talked, and that is approximately 5 hours ago, before Lisa entered her dressing room, she was actually expecting a text from her before the popstar got on stage, but none. She received nothing but a text from Bambam saying Lisa will talk to her later. Really? She is getting pissed, it has been two and a half hours since the show has ended but still nothing.
She was about to reprimand the hell out of the doe eyed woman when someone knocked on the bedroom door.
The feline eyed woman got up to answer the door and it was Lisa's Russian staff, all posh and professional looking even at this late hour in the evening. Jennie quickly smiled when she saw the woman and the staff greeted her back just as warmly.
"A pleasant evening Atty. Kim." The staff greeted.
Jennie chuckled, "You all greet so formally, I feel like the Queen or something, I am just a cashier at a local grocery store in Boston, you guys should really just call me Jennie."
The staff just responded with a smile which made the feline eyed woman giggle.
"Okay what is it?" Jennie asked with a wide smile on her face.
"The Madam wants to have a word with you, Atty. Kim." The staff stated her smile vanishing in each word as her thick Russian accent coats each of it. Giving Jennie a worried look.
Damn she is dead, Jennie thought. The feline eyed woman gulped, once, twice, thrice. Damn she is nervous. The Madam the staff is referring to is none other than Lisa's mother. Sure, the woman might like her on some occasions, no scratch that, seems to like her on one occasion and that was when she fainted, she probably looked like a fool, but why does Lisa's mother want to talk to her... alone?
"Just me?" The feline eyed woman asked.
"I'm afraid so, Atty. Kim." The staff fret.
Jennie smiled at the staff appreciatively, clearly the Russian woman is worried about her, and for that she is beyond thankful.
"You can call me Jennie, I... the Attorney seems to put me off a bit. You can... you can drop the honorifics" Jennie said, truthfully. As much as she loves the sound of it rolling out of people's tongue, it does not feel right anymore. She has no license, there is no point in calling her that, because she is not... anymore.
The staff looked down, bowed a bit, and spoke. "My apologies, Ms. Kim, but Ms. Manoban has instructed us all, strictly, to call you..." the staff was about to say, 'Attorney Kim', but chose not to, considering Jennie's feeling about it. "That" the staff finished and straightened herself to look straight to Jennie.
The feline eyed woman nodded and gave the woman a soft smile. "Come on, you can drop the formalities, Lisa is on tour, you can all just call me Jennie or Jenjen, perhaps Jendeuk? My sister loves to call me Jendeuk." Jennie humored as the staff listened patiently.
"The Madam wants to see you, Ms. Kim." The Russian staff spoke again, as if reminding Jennie that the time is ticking, and they cannot keep Lisa's mother waiting.
Jennie sighed, not to the fact that the staff still has not drop the formalities towards her, but the fact that sooner or later she will be face to face with Lisa's mother, to say she is nervous is an understatement, she is beyond nervous.
"Guess I have no choice." Jennie said, and the staff looked at her softly, she understands. "Okay." The feline eyed woman stated, as the Russian staff guided her up the fourth floor, Jennie's phone laying perfectly at the center of the King-sized bed, vibrating relentlessly, Lisa's name flashing, but Jennie have gone for a heart-to-heart talk with the popstar's mother.
