I woke up in Michael's bed, but for the second day in a row, by myself. I heard a timer go off and knew Michael had to be cooking something downstairs. I got up and threw my hair in a messy bun.i walked down the white stairs to see Michael setting two plates on his kitchen table.
"Lyric you're not suppose to be up this early!" Michael said running to set the rest of the table. "What is all this for?" I ask walking to the table and sitting down. "They're apology pancakes." He said smiling and sitting down across from me. It was a full plate of pancakes, eggs, bacon, and sausage. "Michael you didn't have to do all this." I said making the smile fall from my face at the thought of my parents. "Lyric, it's the least I can do. I feel awful. I thought this might cheer you up, but by the look on your face it isn't working." He said looking at me with a sad look. "No. No don't think that. It's perfect. Now let's eat." I said smiling.
We ate in silence for about 10 minutes before the oven started smoking. "Um Michael. Is that suppose to happen?" I ask pointing to the oven. "Shit. I left the biscuits in there!" He said running over to it and taking the now black, burnt biscuits. "I just wanted to make you the perfect breakfast. That's the least you deserve." He said throwing down the dishrag in frustration. I didn't say anything but instead pulling him into a hug. "Michael it was perfect." I say kissing his cheek. "Now let's clean this stuff up."
After literally 2 hard working hours of cleaning up Michael's mess we decided to get ready and invite the guys over.
They came over that evening around 3. "Hey guys I was wondering if you would want to go on a vacation together?" Ashton asks as we all sit outside around the pool in Michael's backyard. "I mean we are making enough money to go somewhere." Michael says looking at me. "Um excuse me I am not famous like you guys. I don't have a job." I say loudly making sure everyone hears. "Shut up Lyric. We got you." Luke says. "Oh no you don't. There is no way I'm going and not paying for myself." I say hitting his arm. "Okay how about you make the reservations and find us a hotel. Everyone has a job Lyric and that's yours." Calum said. "Fine." I say giving in to Calum's clever quote from The Walking Dead.
That night me and Michael planned our vacation to California. We rented a house. Not a hotel room a house. How these dorks had enough money for this the world may never know, but for now all we have to do is wait a week and Michael, Calum, Ashton, Luke, and I will be on a plane to California. But the part I couldn't wait for was Disney World.
I feel asleep next to Michael in his bed with my I Pad sitting in his lap thinking about this vacation. It was my get away. It was my chance to start over and come back to a fresh, new life. It was going to be good. I can feel it.
