Chapter 18

"What's up Las Angeles?" I screamed into the microphone. The crowed screamed in response to my question. "I'm Lyric and I'm here as 5sos's opening act! I'm really excited to be here so let me tell you about myself. Again, I'm Lyric and I met 5 seconds of summer about 3 years ago at my dads record company in Sydney, Australia. I've been best friends with them ever since and they got me signed with the same record label, so here I am now!" I said smiling and waving to a couple of girls in the audience.

"Get off the stage! No ones here to see you, we are here to see 5sos!" someone screamed from the audience. They talked so harsh. The stadium grew quiet. My mouth was dry and my heart was pounding. I took a big gulp. "Whose ready for some singing?" I said trying not to let the girls rude comment get to me. The crowed screamed. "I'm gonna start off with one of my favorite songs. If you know it please sing along. This is You Found Me by the Fray!"

I sang three songs. "Thanks for having me LA! You've been amazing!" I said waving and blowing kisses to girls that were cheering for me. I walked off the stage to see the boys with the guitars and Ash with his drumsticks. I didn't say anything but just rushed past the boys. "Lyric!" Michael said walking towards me. I started running. He caught me and grabbed my arm. "Michael, please. Just let me go." I said holding back my tears. "What's wrong?" He said looking concerned. "I said let me go, okay?" I jerked me arm from his grip. "You have fans to please. They're obviously here for you." I said walking away leaving him standing there.

I walked to the bathroom and wiped my tears away. I put my backstage pass around my neck and walked out of the bathroom. "Hey you're Lyric! Oh my gosh you're Michael Clifford's girlfriend! You're so pretty! Would you take a picture with me?" A girl asked. She acted like I was Michael Clifford himself. She looked to be maybe 16. "Yes! I would love too! I love your converse by the way." I said taking her phone to take a selfie of us. "Thank you!" She said hugging me. "You're welcome! It was nice meeting you." I said smiling as she walked into the bathroom. "You sing really good by the way." She said as the door shut. That made me feel a little better. At least one fan liked me.

I walked past the audience being visible to the people on the edge of the seats. "Oh my gosh it's Michael's girlfriend! Hi Lyric!" A group of girls yelled to me. "Hey!" I said smiling and walking backstage to the wing of the stage. I could see the guys and the crowd roaring. The crowd for me was nothing compared to them.

Michael would look back and smile at me every once and a while and Ashton would make silly faces at me because he was closest to me. They finished singing Long Way Home and Calum started to talk. "So what did you think about Lyric? She's pretty great." He said turning to look at me. The crowd screamed. "We all love her. Especially Michael." Luke said. "She's a dork but she's cute and she can sing." Ashton said giggling. "She's been her with me for a while and we've had our ups and downs but she's stuck with me through the it all. This song was for one of the toughest times. This is Amnesia." Michael said smiling back at me. The crowd was all saying aww.

"Thank you LA. We can't wait to come back to see you again. You've been a blast. Goodnight!" The guys said walking towards me. "Yall smashed it!" I said hugging Michael. "As did you LP." Luke said. "What is LP?" I asked. "Lyric Paige duh!" He said as if I should've known that.

It was close to 11 so we decided to go eat pizza on the tour bus.

Me and Michael were in the back while the rest of the boys where in the front. "How was to today? You're first concert ever!" Michael asked nudging my arm. Flashbacks of the fan yelling formed in my head. "Great." I said forcing a smile on my face. "Hey, why were you acting weird after you preformed?" He asked. "It was just um nerves. I was just in shock from performing to all those people that's all." I said shoving a huge bite of pizza in my mouth.

"Well LP you did amazing! The crowd loves you and so do I." Michael said kissing my forehead before standing up to throw his now empty plate away. I guess the nickname Luke gave me is gonna stick.

We were staying in Cali for tonight and tomorrow and the heading to Las Vegas for our second show. My birthday is tomorrow and I'm just glad I got to spend to time with my boys gorgeous Cali!
