Chapter 13

Luke

Once i left Michael safe on the castle i had a sword and a armor on and i was thrown into battle. There were people with swords and other weapons getting stabbed by other persons with the same weaponry. I was fighting with the royal knights who were paid to protect me and I didn't liked that, people were dying because of me, that can't be fair

Someone slit open the throat of the man who was beside me, the bright red blood came out of the cut as the man fell to the ground

I started running to the base to see how everything was going, all the mess surrounding me wouldn't let me see a thing. That's when I see a man with a green armor staring directly at me, he raised his sword ready to stab me with it

I lifted mine in protection and the two blades crashed in a clink, I moved my sword again, and again, the weapons kept colliding together until I managed to throw his blade to the ground

The man looked a me in panic, he was scared, and so was I, I had to kill this man, I didn't want to, but I had to. I looked at the man and I felt sorry for him, he probably didn't want to be here, he's most likely a honest man who needs to sustain his family,  it's not his fault...

"Just go" I sighed and the man made a reverence "Thanks my lord" he whispered and then ran away

I made my way to the fort when I heard a little girl's scream to my side, but what made my blood freeze was that I knew that voice.

I turned around to see the two persons I love the most in this world being attacked by some ranger. The guy had my beautiful prince kneeled down on the floor, tears in his eyes and my sister hugged into his chest tightly

I wanted to run and take them away from here but if the man sees me he'll just kill them. I didn't know what to do, I had a knot in my throat threatening to choke me to death and my eyes pooled with tears which started to fall the moment the man raised his sword

But it never got down

A blade broke through the man's chest and he fell to the ground. He was dead. A slim figure appeared behind the man, brown hair and gray eyes, it was Marina, she held the sword in her hand, her dress stained with the man's blood

She just saved my family...
