The Alps were always beautiful this time of year, between the softest of the snow that was crystal white to the purple skies, every inch of Switzerland was regal, showcasing its timeless style and culture- the buildings were one of Y/N's favourite sights and Tyler was convinced they had become his too- the way the old buildings had withstood time and remained standing after all these years was captivating.

Every stone was placed intricately in the walls of the bell tower which stood in the middle of a small town at the bottom of the mountain- it was very small and had a fraction of Texas' population, something about the town seemed to float right off the pages of a novel- the way the people strolled around town, the way the snow fell perfectly in the streets- it was breathtaking.

The family had come out to do some skiing, but Y/N was more interested in staying at the lodge, she wasn't one for snowboarding or going around the mountain- when she was younger she still preferred the safety and causal activity of sitting on a couch and drinking hot chocolate.

Which is exactly what she and Tyler were doing right now, She had told him to ditch the suits while they were in Switzerland, telling him that staying warm was more important than fashionable- he still had his bullet-proof vest underneath and his gun was put away in the case, but instead of a blazer and dress shirt, he was wearing a knitted sweater and some jeans- both of which Y/N had bought him as a present.

The material was unlike anything Tyler had every felt against his skin before. It was soft and delicate, he had expressed concern about picking it or getting it ruined- but his girlfriend reassured him that it was fine. She wanted to spoil him with a nice outfit- she knew that the suits weren't cheap, but if he could have a nice pair of jeans to wear when he wasn't working, he might be more keen to picking out clothes.

Jamie had taken the liberty of escorting the family to the mountains- he wasn't happy about it, but The senator was dragging him around- they had a few extra guards at the lodge, all of which Tyler knew and had become friends with. Each posted around the exits but everyone was pretty casual- not too worried someone coming all the way to Switzerland to hurt the politician.

"So- I was thinking that I might tell Jamie about us... I mean- he's my best friend, but he's also my boss- I think he has a right to know." Tyler shifted as he wrapped his arm around the girl, she had her legs thrown across his lap and nodded slightly.

Pressing her lips into a thin line, she wasn't entirely sure how she felt about it- Y/N had heard Jamie talk about her father on more than one occasion with the other guards- and while she didn't agree with her father's ideologies either, she still didn't like hearing his employees talk shit about him.

He was her father after-all.

"Uh yeah- okay..." she answered him softly, she wasn't enthusiastic about it, but she knew that they would have to start telling people eventually- for safety but also so things didn't get weird. Tyler could sense that she wasn't totally okay with it, but he still wanted to go through with the idea- Jamie had been through so much with him and this was something he was excited about.

Y/N was more than hesitant, but she trusted Tyler- and after all he was dating her not Jamie, so she was hoping that whatever Jamie said wouldn't impact their relationship. As they shared some hot cocoa and watched the snowfall outside, the sun had started to set, the sky changing to a light shade of purple, mixed with some orange and pink.

The lodge was warm, the fire placing throwing heat rather well considering how old it was and the fact that the wood had been slightly wet from sitting in the snow. The family returned from their excursion a little while after Y/N and Tyler had talked about telling Jamie- they had gone their separate ways for a while, letting the guards take a break.
