2 - My New House

¨Welcome home Raelynn!¨ my mom shook me awake.

¨Home? More like Hell.¨ I answered back.

¨Language! Honey you are going to have to accept it sooner or later so why not make it now!¨ she ranted.

¨Yeah, yeah sure¨I said as I got out of the car.

There it was. My new ¨home¨. I gave a big yawn while I stretched. I walked up the sidewalk to the front door, while my dad came with the keys to unlock the door. I walked in and ran right upstairs into my room. I am not going to lie it was pretty cool. I could fit so much in here. I even got my own balcony, which I did not have before. I overlooked the balcony and saw the pool. It had a diving board! As cool as that is, I did not have anyone to use it with. I missed my friends so much already. I thought of how much Liv would love the pool. She was always the type of girl that would do crazy flips and stunts anytime she got the chance.

¨Honey, the moving truck is here!¨ My dad yelled from the bottom of the stairs, interrupting my thought.

¨Coming!¨ I yelled.

After about 4 hours, we finally had all the boxes in the right room of the house. The movers also distributed all the furniture. I started unpacking the stuff for my bed first because I knew I wouldn't finish in time for bed. I then found the box labeled ¨james¨ with a heart. I felt like I should be missing him more than I do my friends, but I didn't. That made me sick to my stomach. I knew I loved him, but is that what my brain is telling me and not my heart? Over the pass few months, after I told him I was moving, our connection broke a little. But I still loved him and he still loved me, I think. I mean I hope so.

I took out the picture frames, with james and I in them, and put them on my side table. I looked through the rest of the box, but decided to just put it into the back of my closet. I did not need to have him all over my room. Right? I moved on to the next box which was mostly clothes. I hung them in my closet and put them in my dresser.

¨Pizzas here!¨ my mom told me.

I ran downstairs and ate my favorite pizza, sausage and pepper. I was quite surprised of how much better the pizza was here. I finished my food and hand washed my dish in the sink since the dishwasher was still running. I went upstairs and got ready for bed. I had school tomorrow. I was so nervous. What if I couldn't find any of my classes. Or even worse, what if I walked into the wrong class. The school told my mom a girl name Moon would be showing me around. Although, this made me more comfortable, I was still nervous. They emailed me my schedule ahead a time, but told me to get a printed version first thing in the morning. I would go to the main office to pick it up and meet Moon there. I set my alarm and went on my phone until I fell asleep.
