13 - Coyote Creek

We drove up to the parking lot of the address. Sensei Lawrence and Sensei Kreese were standing there with a few other cobras. After everyone showed up we followed them into the middle of the woods. They split us into two groups. Aisha, Hawk, and I on one team. Miguel, Tory, and Sasha on the other team.

¨Gentle men, ladies.¨ Sensei Kreese walked over with black and red headbands. ¨Welcome to Kyotee Creek. You've been split into too teams.¨ He handed us headbands. ¨Red and black. The goal is to capture as many headbands as possible from the other side. Today the people across from your are not your friends.¨

I looked over at Sasha and Tory and glared at them while smirking.

¨Their not your brothers.¨ Sensei Kreese looked around.

I noticed Hawk and Miguel eyeing each other up.

¨They are the enemy.¨ Kreese continued to walk around us. ¨Last team standing wins.¨ He finally came to a stop.

¨How do we get the headbands?¨ Miguel had his hands in his pockets.

¨By any means possible, no rules.¨ Kreese's voice was sly and chilling.

¨Use your judgment, this is just a training exercise.¨ Johnny added.

¨But remember this is your life. You loose it, you die. Alright 2 minute grace period, get going.¨ Kreese motioned his hands.

¨Yes Sensei!¨ We all chanted

¨What happens at the end of this if its just you and me?¨ Hawk was looking around for any attackers.

¨Then I guess I will have to rip that pretty little headband off your head.¨ I glared into his eyes.

¨Not if I get it first!¨ Aisha pushed us both apart. We all laughed. Leaves started to crunch when someone on the other team came out. He threw his head and hands up realizing he got himself into a pickle.

He took his fighting stance and threw a kick at me. I blocked with my leg. He then threw a punch that I ducked under. I hit him in his side and he bent over in pain. I kicked him straight in his head.

¨Hes all yours.¨ I pushed him into Hawk.

The guy threw a punch and Hawk ducked. They guy went for a quick kick and Hawk caught it.

¨No, ladies first.¨ He gave him to Aisha. She kicked him to the ground and jumped on his torso with her knees. He screamed in pain and Aisha ripped his headband off. We all high fived each other while he layed there motionless.

¨I got an idea.¨ He started to walk away fast.

¨Oh yeah, and what's that.¨ I caught up with him.

¨You can't come.¨ He pushed me down in the mud and ran away laughing.

¨Your such a dick you know!¨ I screamed to him. ¨Hes a real...¨ I turned around and Aisha was gone.

I kept walking through the woods. I eliminated 2 other people before I came upon Sasha.

¨Well, well¨ She said circling me.

¨What up bestie. Oops forget we aren't besties today.¨ I laughed and took my fighting stance.

We began to fight. I side kicked, but she blocked. She was pretty damn fast I thought. I threw a punch and she ducked. She tried to sweep my legs, but I jumped over hers. When she went to get up I finally connected with a front kick. I went to do a tornado kick (its like a spinning type kick thing), but when I turned around for the spin she grabbed my shoulders. She did her special move on me, the back stabber that I saw at the dojo that one time. Only this time she flipped me over bending my back on the ground. I had seen nothing like this before and never took anything like this. She had me caught off guard and ripped my headband off.

¨Weren't ready for that were?¨ She let go of me and smirked.

¨Not at all.¨ I laughed.

¨Get him girl!¨ We did our handshake, the cobra kai handshake she taught me, and went our separate ways.

I arrived back to where every who got eliminated was. Aisha was there sitting on a fallen tree with her arms crossed. She always got mad when she didn't win. I don't blame her, but your not always going to win. About five minutes later Sasha had come walking over.

¨What! Who got you?!¨ I stood up.

¨Hawk.¨ She came over and handed Kreese all the headbands she gathered.

¨How?!¨ I questioned her. I then saw Hawk in the distance jump down from this huge tree. He fell on Mitch and ripped his headband off.

¨Like that.¨ Sasha pointed and laughed.

¨So that is why I couldn't come.¨ I smiled. Tory came walking over from that same direction.

¨Who got you?¨ Sasha laughed.

¨Stingray he was hiding in the leaves and put me in a choke hold.¨ Tory handed Sensei Lawrence her headbands.

We heard screaming and fighting coming from the woods. We all rushed over and saw Miguel and Hawk fighting for the final headband. We got there mid fight. Hawk at jumped on the tree and kicked Miguel. They continued to exchange kicks and punches until Hawk kicked him into the tree. They continued fighting until Miguel got him on the ground and took his headband. Miguel held up the headband looking over at us.

¨Finish him.¨ Sensei Kreese raised his head towards Hawk. Miguel turned around and kicked him in the face. Sensei Lawrence did not like this new side of Miguel.

¨Team Black!¨ He turned around raising the headband once again.

All of a sudden Stingray came out from the leaves and put Miguel in a choke hold.

¨You know the thing about stingrays is they lie in wait, for the perfect opportunity, to strike!¨ Stingray ripped his headband off. Everyone let out a cheer.

I walked over to Hawk to help him up.

¨That was a good try. Maybe you should have let me come¨ I extended my hand and mockingly laughed at him.

¨Shut up. Just stop being such a bitch and leave me alone!¨ He got up brushing himself off.

My body filled with rage. Did he really just call me that!?¨You know what. I am not a door mat for you to stomp on. Stop taking your fucking anger out on me just because you keep loosing. I am not one of your bitches and I will never be your bitch!¨ I screamed at him pushing him back each time I said a sentence. Everyone silenced and started watching.

¨Raelynn, I didn't mean it. I'm sorry.¨ He grabbed my hand.

¨No I'm sorry.¨ I glared at him.

¨For what?¨ He looked confuse.

¨For this.¨ I kicked him in the balls.

¨OOOOOOO¨ Everyone covered their mouths.

I stormed off and Sasha chased me. She tried talking to me, but I was just so mad that he kept treating me like this. I know we weren't dating or anything, but we had something. I got in my car.

¨Raelynn!¨ Tory and Aisha had come up. I ignored them and drove away.

I had drove them all there, but they would have to find their own way home. I got home and went straight to my room and journaled about my thoughts. I went to bed still angry about today.
