The young king of Ailuran sat on the throne. He sighed, thinking of the on-going tragedy and tension between the Ailurans and the Lycans. "My king, how can I assist you?" Cleona, the Shaman of the Ailurans, came close to the king and bowed as she addressed him.
"Thank you for your constant assistance, Cleona. However, for now, can I ask that you give me silence by leaving me all alone?" King Farkas asked. "Indeed." Cleona bowed once more and left the king alone. Farkas sighed and closed his eyes.
"Maia, I'm sorry I couldn't make a proper move to retrieve you." He muttered as a silent prayer to Maia.
(Flashback)
"All I want is peace between our lines. You saw how much warriors I lost on the past battle. We can't possibly start another war against the Lycans right now! We'd be dead!" Farkas stated as he placed his cup on the table.
"Indeed, Farkas. The luck's side is not on yours if another battle started. Funny how you casually tell me your kingdom's poor condition. I could take advantage of that, don't you think?"
"That's why I'm here for peace! Delaneia, let's stop this, once and for all."
"Peace? King Farkas, I, too, want peace but I wanted to remind you that it was your king who did not agree for peace in the first place when our king proposed for it."
"Another reason why I'm here! I want to fix everything, forget the past and have peace."
"Too late."
"What?"
"Farkas, as much as I would like to think you are genuine, it's hard for me to believe that you are. Who knows if this is one of your agendas to take us down? By making us believe that you want peace? I hope you are not blind to see what your line did to my line. It's not like I could just forget everything that your people did to my people if I accept this peace negotiation you are attempting. You, my dear old friend, ruined the Lycans by killing the Lycan king, by killing my father like our Lycan kings before!"
Farkas stood up."Delaneia, your father killed the reigning Ailuran king before me first! And once I was king, he belittled me and asked me for a one-on-one battle! You know I was full of rage and I wanted to take revenge that's why I killed him!"
"Well, isn't this ironic? Then, you should've known that I wouldn't agree to this 'peace' thing you are proposing right on my face. Are you really dumb that you think I wouldn't take my revenge on you and your people?!"
"Let's stop this, Delaneia, my dear friend."
Delaneia stiffened when she heard the word "friend" but she regained her composure almost immediately."I am no longer your friend. You should've known that a long time ago. I should've listened to my father that befriending an Ailuran is a pain in the back as time pass." Delaneia stood up.
Standing on the side, listening to them, is the chief hunter of the Lycans, a trusted warrior of the young female alpha and queen. Delaneia took a glimpse at him and he nodded, sending an indirect message to her.
"But Farkas, if you really want peace, I'm kind enough to give that to you but only in one condition." Delaneia crossed her arm and walked towards Farkas, opening her palm in front of his face, looking like she's asking him to give her something. "The necklace of the one favored by the heavens." The young queen smirked.
"I told you already, I don't have it, and even if it's in my hand, I will never give it to you. That necklace is something that... I can't entrust to you." The young king looked away. "Very well." Delaneia stood in a brave and dominant stance.
